As bad as our defense is, it's nowhere near as bad as those three listed above. It's not like GT's offense is lighting up even average defenses. I don't think GT scores more than 3 TD's and they cant keep up with our offense.

The combined score in the 1st half of our games (not counting FAMU or Ball State) is:

131-115

The combined score in the 2nd half of our games is:

178 - 79

Can we please start fast today? My gut (and 2+ months of prior history) tells me the game will be very close at the half. Let’s flip the script. Go throw up 28 in the first half and see how hard they play the rest of the game. GT is a double digit underdog. The only way they have hope past the first quarter is if you let them hang around.

My pick is 17-17 at the half, and Miami wins 38-27.

But it’d be really cool to actually come out prepared and blow them off the field from the opening whistle.

(By the way, that 2nd half average score works out to 25 to 11. That’s insane)

I want to see Miami put a team away.

Miami has had a chance to do that to Duke, Louisville and possibly Va Tech before the Cam redzone INT.

Each of those games they were up multiple scores and then just went flat in the 2nd quarter.

Not sure what’s happening in the 2nd but for once it would be nice to take a team completely out of it before half.

The line has fallen from -14.5 to -10. It has fallen from -11.5 to -10 even after it was announced King is starting at QB. That portends badly but I think we get the closer-than-we’d-like win.

44-20. King will be hampered by his injury, if he's even able to play the whole game. There will be turnovers generated. Defensive will bend but not break (300-350 yds of offense given up, 20 pts).

Still some time for maybe a half point climb in our favor. Hëll, I’d take a late move to -10 -115 right now, something, anything in our favor. Here is where some folks will say it doesn’t matter. We’ll see.

It’s the other way around. It’s not what Tech can do it’s what Miamis defense can’t do.

Everyone is betting Miamis defense sucks again this week. One of these weeks they will play a solid game. Hopefully it’s today.

I'll eat crow if wrong. I think Richards going down helps some of our issues (dependent on hills snaps). At some point, our defense has to look at least average....right, haha?

If we come out in man/qtrs all game, yeah, I expect a similar type game as Duke and Louisville.

I just don't know why GT scares us more than any other games we've played (vt, Louisville, etc.). Seems like people are just expecting us to drop one because of all the comebacks.
