'Canes could be close to flipping USC commit

No I have nothing against this guy, I wish any young man well especially one that has struggled. I was just sharing thoughts on the situation, and I have actaully followed this kids recruit for a while. But to ignore the fact that UM Admissions will go ape **** over this kids background is being delusional. I trust staff has a contingency plan in place for any JUCO target that falls thru.

Have you taken it into account that you could possibly be off base and/or wrong yet?

No police report no arrest. It could be completely made up by the kid. If it was a big deal UM wouldn't even pursue him. This case and shuttles case are apples and oranges.

Nope, not until someone commits. How about on your end?

Go Canes

so, the staff is gonna waste time, money, resources to recruit a kid they have no intention of actually accepting and knowing admissions won't accept.
you have zero clue about UM admissions office. "go ape ****"? stop it.

Orgeron was his main recruiter to USC. As long as Orgeron stick as HC or is part of the new staff, I doubt this kid leave USC.

I haven't said anything to be "wrong" about so...

i say take a chance on the kid whether he makes it in or not, he is in a position of need and the reward out weighs the risks

USC is going to make a splash hire. It will wait until after the season; they made Orgeron the interim because he has run a team (albeit POORLY) before. He will not be the head guy. If this kid is having doubts, the fact that he won't know who his coach would be at USC...or even if he will have a scholarship under the new regime...means this is all moving in the right direction for us.

Orgeron sucked as a HC at Ole Miss, Haden won't give him the job at USC.

So did Kiffin (Tenn and Oakland), they went with the guy.

USC had no choice , they were about to get drilled with major penalties from the NCAA. No big time coach would've walked into that **** storm.

The sanctions are about through , now they can go make their splash.

They have another year of sanctions.

USC had a choice and they choose Kiffin. Perhaps they went after the wrong OC (Steve Sarkisian) in 2010. There was no evidence that Kiffin was a good HC (look at his career), USC made a bad choice. Even though they were going to get punished, if you pay an HC what you paid Kiffin (http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/ncf/news/story?id=5196431) someone good is going to bite.

They had a choice and made a terrible one.

One year isn't three. This is a great job with only one class left to suffer through, the worst is over . Kiffin was just a stop gap to get through sanctions . No other coach worth their salt would've touched that situation four years ago .

where's the story on this kid shooting someone 3 times? I didn't watch the video. but, I agree, paranos is a clown. leverage against pelon and Johnson. that's just dumb. they aren't doing that.

Supposedly he shot 3 times at some one in 9th grade. No official police report or arrest.

This dude Paranos is so **** dramatic and conjures up all these scenarios on why we offer kids. Leverage this and that. Dude just prolly sits in his basement all day with a big board of recruits on it and acts like a RC.

That's the whole, "if a tree falls and nobody is there, who gives a Fuuck?" Situation. At least that's how we say it in my house.

9 th grade? No police report or arrest?

Kid's a model citizen as far as I'm concerned. Bring him in.
