Canes Camp Report Episode 3

He's been legit. Just needed to lose some of that baby fat.

Him and Jelani were on that Ice cream sandwich plan

I wouldn't say that lol

Standish's a big kid but he's got some wheels on him. Couple of the players posted a vid of him and I think Coley racing. Stan was step for step with him

Coley was filming. Stan was racing a walk on I think. Coley would smoke him

+10000

He wasn't step for step with Coley haha... I don't care if it was baby fat or 16% obese fat, if he was step for step with Coley he would have played.. The kid maybe talented but assertions like this is what make our fans vulnerable for disappointment which later results into suicide watch... Come football season...

The one thing that worries me from those highlights is the zip on the ball. It looks like the defender is barely not getting there for an interception. Not necessarily a Jacory deep ball, but something to keep in mind when we start thinking aggressive defenses.

People will slurp Williams throughout the entire spring and summer, but when the season start..... the torches and pitchforks will come out.

I'm telling ya, the Chosen One Baby Jesus is the only QB on the roster that can lead us the promise land this season. If stubborn Golden starts Williams for the whole year, my pleas will haunt you in your nightmares once we go 8-4. Every. ****. Night.

I tell you, our fans just set themselves up for this stuff every year. Whats the over under on his projected draft position by our fans before September? I say round 4 sounds about right. Wait til we blow out Nebraska, I expect a few '14-0 BCS Champs' threads kinda like last year.

I've been slurping Williams since he arrived on campus.

Tagging this thread for servings of crow later this year.

Only an idiot can't see that RW is light years ahead of what we have been offered at the QB position for at least 5 years. ratards

Don't do it to yourself... Too be honest, since 2011 we have witness the most productive years regarding our qbs since Dorsey... We'll see what Williams can do but all I see is exaggeration on basic throws from our fanbase... I'm not high on the kid but I'll love to be proven wrong...

1:23, I see we still have LBs covering wide receivers.

Grace getting smoked by Coley.

All aboard the Gus Bus.

Although I think that Duke and Yearby are better, Gus is not a scrub by any means. He did a fantastic job as a freshman, and will be a big part of this offense this year IMO.

I'm on board

Gus has more pro potential than Duke and I've said that from day 1.

His frame, speed, vision, and quick feet...

The stats don't lie. Yds...TD's....hah...how bout some wins? Everything else is fluff.

RW will have a higher winning % than any Canes opening day starting QB in the last 5 years.

Book it. I'll ban myself from our last game this season until signing day 2015 if I'm wrong. You do the same if I'm right.

Dude, I want to believe you. I just need some evidence before I can slurp that up. Are you that confident based on his high school play, his Memphis play, his greentree play, or his garbage time play?

Greentree and garbage time probably. It's too bad we don't have him for 2 years though.

All of the above. Go watch his film. He's not perfect but hes much better than anyone we have had in a while.

It's a cerebral position.

Yeah. 2 separate OCs had him on the bench for the fun of it.

Liking what I'm seeing from Ryan Williams and our receivers. Gus has nice wheels for a big guy. I want to see him play his size.

The young lady doing the report used her hands more than our DBs do. That was distracting to me. She is a cutie though and overall I thought she did a good job. A few first day jitters.

Yeah. 2 separate OCs had him on the bench for the fun of it.

The only reason he was "on the bench" in Memphis was because the coach changed the entire offensive system to a spread instead of the previous pro-style system, and he then picked his running QB to be the starter. That's when Williams decided to transfer.

I believe he's referencing Fischer and Coley... However, your point only magnifies our curiosity as to why this poster thinks he's the best qb we had in years...

I'm not going to agree to that foolishness haha... You don't have to do that either... It's unnecessary... If you're right, that's great... If you're wrong oh well... The same with me... I'm just saying from the clips we're exaggerating some of his passes... We'll get an idea of his potential at the spring game and it'll continue until the 2014 season...
