I posted this on CS a few days ago an I believe it's accurate. F#ck the Gaytors!
"There has been lots of discussion about mismatches and where the advantage truly lies when we get ready to play the Turds on 9/7. I did a little research on the Turds and as of right now, this is what we're looking at.
Turds Offense:
I'm sure the popular perception here is what will our defense do in this game against a team who has talent on offense. The question is how much talent and where are the Turds most dynamic in their offense?
Their biggest weakness is their OL. They've moved tackle, Tyler Moore to guard because of depth issues. Their best OL is probably DJ Humphries, who is a true soph. They have decent size but are razor thin on the OL for depth.
Their biggest pass production was from their TE last season who is now gone and has been replaced on the depth chart by 6'4" 253lbs Clay Burton. I don't think they'll go away from that plan too much as an offense. Also on the TE roster is soph Kent Taylor 6'5" 224lbs.
At WR they have some decent talent in guys like Trey Burton, Latroy Pittman & Dunbar. Debose is out for season with knee injury. Gotta watch Burton & Dunbar!
At RB the Turds are a little thin with Jones being out due to his illness. Nobody is predicting him to be back and as of a today he's still listed as out indef. Even if he's back for our game he will definitely not be 100%.
Next on the depth chart is Mack Brown, who is nothing to write home about, followed by Kelvin Taylor. Taylor is a very good RB but has had issues with ball security, hence why he's behind Brown on the depth chart.
The big match up from our defense will be at the line of scrimmage. I don't believe UF has the depth or talent on the OL to have an effective passing game or running game. If we force Driskell to press and force throws it'll work in our favor. If UF's OL can maintain a pocket, watch for them to utilize their TE's to attack us. Of course they will also try to establish the running game inside but I don't see thy working out very well for them. If they have a single lineman go down they're screwed.
Turds Defense:
General consensus on the Turds defense is their strength is in the DL and CB's. Purifoy & Roberson have great size and speed at the CB positions. The DL seems to have went to more of a run stopping scheme by moving Easely inside to DT. He is very quick but severely undersized to be going up against guys like Feliciano. The turds NT Jacobs is still recovering from a Patella injury and will be back soon. Both DE's, Bullard & Fowler are good but young.
The LB'er corp is average. If Morrison returns for the Miami game (which it appears he will), that will save turds from having to start true fresh Alex Anzalone who is also coming off a knee injury from the second week of spring ball. Their LB'ers are slightly smaller on avg than our LB'ers are.
Marcus Maye has been bumped to starting safety and bring a little extra size to the position, where as the other starter is 5'9" 184lbs.
The Turds do not have great depth on defense either outside of their star players.
Conclusion:
We have way too much depth and talent on offense for the Turds to matchup with us the entire game. Do to injuries sustained in the offseason by the Turds and the amount of talent lost after last season, I do not see them hanging with us for an entire game.
