Canes Camp 11

The only time I can remember kacy not sucking is when they had him playing man at the LOS at the end of last year. He's an awful deep safety.

Also, I'm not really sure, but isn't a big factor in the black jerseys hustle and leadership, not who's necessarily making the most plays?

This. Rodgers is actually a decent NB when playing man to man. It plays to his strengths.

He looked good covering Duke at the end of that video.

Nobody looks good covering Duke. Now go run off and make another nickname to amuse the local tards.

This defense isnt going to be anywhere near UM standards this year so dont expect that at all.... but i still expect to see a drastic difference from the lack of a defense that was on the field last year.

I think next years defensive unit if certain key players decide to come back should finally be a unit that can win games on its own and just shut down an offense... at least thats what i believe the level of expectation should be.

Let's not talk about next year yet please. We'll be losing Porter, Robinson, Gilbert, and Green on the D-Line, and we'll be breaking in a new QB on offense, along with losing Seantrel, Linder on the O line.

Unless some of these young guys show me something during the season, next year worries me.

I think this year is the year we need to make something happen.

I'm not sure about that, many players make huge leaps from there freshman to there sophomore year. Our defense will not have to be a shutdown defense for us to win, being that we have a great offense. I just want I defense to not be a liability to our offensive success. If that happens we can win 10+ games.

I agree I dont expect next years defense to be able to keep a team to zero points or anything close to that but I do expect them to be able to win games for us in the sense that are offense shouldnt have to score 40 points every week to win.... I think Miami should finally have enough talented veterans and experienced younger players to be a top 10 - 15 ranked defense NEXT YEAR.

The defense is going to be much better next year then it will be this year regardless of the losses imo.... you have to think about all of the guys that is going to return on that side of the ball and even on offense.

If "certain key players decide to stay", like Chickillo Perryman and Pierre on defense, and Bunche Feliciano and McDermott on the o-line (to go with Flowers) then i think this team is going to be ridiculously good next year. A Lot of "IFs" but we'll just have to wait and see what those players decide to do.
