To a limited extent maybe. But it is a great sign if our guys are able to handle their zone drops properly, carry a guy through their zone on to the next guy, recognize combo routes and realize what's coming, and be in a position to make plays and stop the offense. Whether they have more familiarity than average with the offense or not, the fact that DL aren't being driven five yards back, that LBs aren't always stuck in no man's land off of play action, and that the defense seems to be making the field a little smaller for the offense is all positive regardless of how familiar they are with them.
Obviously these are just VERY limited clips and the D is still shown getting smoked a few times, but a lot of reports have both sides competing pretty well throughout the fall
