Camp Notes Day #NotSureAnymore

coley is like chad johnson

Made this comparison during his recruitment and I think it's the most accurate.

Though they are very fast in a straight line, it's the ability to be in and out of cuts at top speed, without losing a step, that separates Stacy and Chad. Those guys' ability to plant and shift their weight without compromising acceleration is unheard of.

Doesn't hurt that they are natural pass catchers.

Scary part about Stacy is that he is probably faster on the straight line than Chad.

Gotta be honest, I'm glad I can't **** my weight at top speed.

You'd think ****ting your weight would actually make you run faster. *shrug*

During the morning session, senior QB Stephen Morris threw three TD passes to freshman WR Stacy Coley.

Coley running with the ones.

That boy's good!

I found this conversation interesting on twitter regarding Gus Edwards:
Papa Cane ‏@ByPapaCane 13m
Updated on RB Gus Edwards per Coach Golden: All issues expected to be done with today and he is expected at tomorrow's practice.

Michael Casagrande ‏@ByCasagrande 12m
@ByPapaCane Did I miss you at today's interview?

Papa Cane ‏@ByPapaCane 11m
The last thing I will ever do is out myself to a random media person - no offense. @ByCasagrande Did I miss you at today's interview?

Michael Casagrande ‏@ByCasagrande 11m
@ByPapaCane Or you read it on Twitter.

The important thing to take away here is that Gus is expected to resume practice very soon, hopefully tomorrow.

But also, Casagrande took a shot at "Papa Cane". Wow.

Is this guy now trying to say he was there but is trying to keep his identity a secret? Shameless.

Casagrande put him blast... LOL.. Papa came right back at him... Then Casa lays the wood

@ByPapaCane Keep playing the game. I'm going back to my job while pointing out your news only breaks minutes after others tweet it. Good day

About **** time. Tired of the Herald(Navarro and SMD) tweeting him like he actually knows something.

@ByPapaCane It must be fun lurking in the shadows, reading info and passing it off as your own. Good luck.

@ByPapaCane Looks like someone gets sensitive when they're callled out for being a plagiarist.

@ByPapaCane 15m
@ByCasagrande Au contraire. A tiny circulation newspaper reporter whines about a tweet that was reported hours ago & told to me last night.

The 3-4 and the 4-3 under are easy to switch back and forth between based on personnel

Ghost2 made a comment comparing our defensive "style" to San Francisco. He's actually pretty dead nuts I think. People assume SF plays this ridiculous aggressive defense but they don't. They just have incredible personnel. Their scheme actually is a bit passive at times but they have it down to a science.

San Fran and Seattle both play a read and react defense.
Carrol in Seattle has been using it even before USC.
I read an article recently on the best defense to use against read option and spread offenses, and it was a 4-3 under or 3-4 under.
Everything depends upon assignments and smarts.
Might be why we were miserable last year.

This how Jethro fits in as DL coach?

Man. Blow for blow.

This guy PapaCane has been doing this for years. Following message boards for content and posting it as his own. He better knock that off before newspapers and somebody reputable starts to get after him for plagiarism. PAPACANE might get sued.

Probably won't find a CIS poster that hates Papa more than me, but let's not lose sight of that Morris-Coley performance. Man that kid is going to be a star.

The defense resembles Seattle more than San Fran.

The 9ers played a ton of nickel last year with the NT off the field.

You're definitely right, just pointing out their ability to change read/react style and still be successful. The D looked very different than the year before but was still relatively successful with the same type of personnel. They like their players to be versatile with a few "specialists" in certain spots.

It's a bit of a stretch to just flat out compare Miami and SF, but I think that's the type of direction we want to go in.
