Why is that? Armbrister looks the part now. He made some great strides in the offseason. I love the open competition...gonna make both of them better. Figatron is still a beast, but he's a frosh and brand new to this defense. With Golden, it won't matter too much who starts because they both will get plenty of reps in the games.

If he has changed that's fine just haven't been impressed with him. But I agree both would see plenty of action

Feel the same way, I know some are high on him and I hope they are right but I just dont see it.

Not really. You want help at guard so you bring over a kid that has been a DT. Did he play OL in HS?

Felicano (Starter)
Linder (Starter)
Gall (Fr)
Isidora (OUT)

Then you have guys like

Bunche,
Wheeler, and
Wells

Who can play Guard if need be. I would say if things change dramatically start moving Knighton and Gadbois over to Guard.

If we're moving King over, we are in trouble IMO.

Don't know how King would do at guard. And don't think we currently need that to happen. But, Jeremy Lewis was **** solid last year for us as a backup guard recently converted from DT

I don't think J. Lewis is still on the team. Not on the roster.

Sucks losing Isadora but Wheeler can give us plenty of quality snaps, along with Bunche and Gall.

Gall is going to be ready quickly, I've got a feeling.
 
I would love McCord to be back at DE, seems like he has the burst on the edge that could make it a difference. Hope he doesn't turn into a JAG at LB.

Was still hoping we could shirt Gall and get him acclimated a little before he needed to be used. Agree that he may be ready earlier than most true freshman though.

I felt last year it would take McCord two years to physically start showing what he can really do out there. He is still so **** talented he can make plays but we haven't seen anything from him yet and I don't personally expect a huge season from him though he will make a lot of plays just because of talent.
 
God forbid young players to take the next step and improve (Ambistrer) or a true freshman to hit a wall (Figatron)...

We aren't thin at OG at all, 4 experienced guys. Linder and Feliciano, Bunche and Wheeler can both play there as well. The great thing about this OL group is Bunche, Feliciano, even Linder can play OT and OG. Wheeler can back up C and OG.

And who exactly are either of you to make such statements? Armbrister was converted from safety. He's now 6'3" 235lbs. Let me guess, Golden recruited him like he was recruiting at Temple right? Maybe Armbrister is on the verge of being a good LB. No that couldn't be because our fans are so intelligent. Armbrister has to be no good because he wasn't dominating as a true Sophomore.

I agree we'll be fine as long as nobody else goes down. We do need some more scout teamers though.
