Camp Notes Day #3

agree with rok.....dude is basically saying get off AGs sack so what if his desk is clean and has a 9000 page football bible. It means **** right about now.

I'd like to once again thank Rok for running around with a t-shirt gun full of **** and blasting it all over the place on every Canes board on the internet.

I know when to quit. But when people go on and on about how well Golden speaks I feel compelled to interject and restore some of the balance.

balance of?

??

My entire point this offseason has centered around people putting AG on a pedestal for things like his speaking ability and marketing prowess. Those things are great, but there's only so much of that I can handle. I'm awaiting placing a crown on his head (at the risk of messing up his hair) until these things begin translating into success on the field, which I fully expect to happen.

Al Golden would probably agree with you.

I'm sure he would. He's a perfectly reasonable and intelligent dude. It's his target audience that needs some work.

Can't hate on that.

But, I can hate on you not being able to "handle" the excess of it by trolling hard and hating on those that enjoy it. If you fully expect it to manifest on the field, then what's the problem (so long as it does)? It takes a lot to turn the tide on the public perception that surrounds Miami currently.

I'm okay with you hating on my mechanism for getting my point across as I'm not here to make friends. And I do agree that it's taken a Herculean effort on the part of Golden to get people thinking positively about Miami and I've never shied away from giving him credit for that.

So you agree that a Herculean effort is required, you've never shied away from giving him credit for this effort, yet your entire "point this offseason" has been to demean and counter its tangible results (i.e. excitement and positive momentum built through his marketing, interviews, etc.)?

You might have to rethink that one

Until these "tangible results" like excitement and positive momentum are accompanied by sustained success on the field then I'll be here to remind everyone that AG still has plenty to prove.

LOL as if you're operating from some enlightened position. As if everyone isn't fully aware of that.

Newsflash: people like to enjoy their hobbies. Following the canes, talking canes, getting excited about positives is all part of most people's hobby when it comes to following the canes. It seems like you're hobby is trying to feel enlightened and smart by taking the cool contrarian skeptic perspective.

But you're very inconsistent and 2-sided when questioned on this. You state you fully expect the success to manifest this season, yet you feel a need to remind everyone it hasn't happened yet? You yourself expect it to happen, but you want to get on others for doing the same?

I get it. You're a humanitarian. You want to protect people from the possibility of disappointment. What a noble task.

First off, it's all bout the U. Secondably, not everyone is fully aware that Golden might not be the guy. You know this. For some, all the evidence they need is that he's much more capable than Randy ever was, and this gives them hope. I can appreciate that people enjoy talking some Canes football, but I don't take kindly to being bludgeoned over the head by homerism when trying to do so. My hand has been forced here. There have been red flags since AG took over to go along with what he's accomplished off the field. I'm as hopeful as anyone that we'll begin to see this team enjoy success again, and I do expect us to be a whole lot better this year, and when we see this happen I'll be here with the rest of you praising AG for every little thing that he does or says or tweets or wears or believes in.

I honestly respect your perspective on it. I don't go full teeny bopper with every little thing Golden does, but it doesn't really bother me that others do. I have massive respect for Golden's approach and think he is a true leader. I think he learns from error moreso than most, so he is a very capable adapter. So, to me, it's just a matter of how long until we're back, not if.

With that said, when you lay things out and post for real, I can dig it. Your troll attempts, avatar, and persona basically mocking canes fans just seems like something a gator or nole troll would come on here to do. And that wears thin. But, do you

Sounds good man. Now that the season is upon us I'll be in full-on "f@ck you we're going 14-0 mode" in no time. Enjoy the season.

Are Renfro, Gilbert, Derosier, Kamalu, Suttles actually coming?

They're just extra sets of eyes.

I still don't believe Derosier is a real person.

He was there. The Beast took a photo. This time he kept his mouth shut and didn't speculate on who he was. Probably because he didn't do any research to try to find out.

That dude needs some utough.
Looks like a DE. Isn't he 6'6, 265 ish? Perfect 5-technique in an odd front.

He tall but he got baby arms.

Only a matter of time and UTough to work that out! However tall lean dudes can muster more power than they look like they can. The NBA is proof of that.

Roc has officially turned into the JRoss or mapcane from grassy. Any thread with an ounce of optimism will be thoroughly **** on until the thread has been fully derailed.

So excited for this season to get underway. Can't wait to see who all Al is adding to the roster.

Seems like Kamalu and Derozier are both currently moreso SDE size than DT size. I'm interested to see where both of them get most reps and which is better. Kamalu looks like a beast physically.

I believe they both have 3 years to play 3. Is that accurate?

As far as I now Kamalu and Derosier are both RS sophomores. They, along with Renfro, seem to be a bit top heavy, which isn't a problem at all as long as they can play.

LMAO @ Canes fans taking pics of random dudes at practice asking if that's one of Golden's free agent signees.

Dude looked like he was just some random guy watching practice and not too happy about getting randomly photographed.

This thread was over for me once I seen Sandland get called a jag I shouldn't have gone any further.
