he's not the OC but also has a reputation for "meddling"..

I'm just hoping those narratives/reputations are false and he can prove it this year. has a good OC. a good OL. and good skill positions. just needs to get and stay out of the way and let these guys do their jobs and give the transfer QB an opportunity to shine/showcase his talents and become a high draft pick.

Agree but we did actually throw the ball decent bit this year and I dont think anyone can keep Ward from doing what he does once the bullets start flying.

These are not wide-eyed high schoolers playing the game for the first time. They're the top 2 QBs in the portal.

I'm certain both have been back channeled by all serious contenders before they even hit the portal. In that case, any visit would probably be to dot the i's and cross the t's and make certain there are no "contingencies" on payment (ala a gator NIL agreement).

So by this logic, his "meddling" with Herbert produced a top 6 NFL draft pick. Also by that same logic, no one would want to come play for him. Which one is it?

Yes, it could change the narrative and perception. Let’s hope that’s exactly what happens. However, it also has the potential to cement his reputation and cause irreparable harm. Let’s hope that does NOT happen.

I say go with Ward so Mario can either dispel or confirm (gasp) the “Quarterback Killer” label. The only way to effectively stop the negative recruiting is with on the field results.
