Cam Ward said he WILL play

As a Giants fan, I’ll hopefully be watching him for a long time. Excited to see him win me some Supers bowls

id say more function of the NIL
NIL existed last year and pretty much every draft eligible kid sat out at FSU even though they had a chance to go 13-0. They didn't care about letting coach Norvell flop at the end of the season.

There's also plenty of NFL prospects who aren't playing in the playoffs who will be opting out this year.

I know Shedeur and Travis Hunter are playing as well (possible top 3 NFL draft picks) and I hope this becomes the norm but I still expect a bunch of NFL prospects to opt out of the "meaningless bowl games".

NIL definitely plays a part but there's a difference to this team. They want to win a bowl game and #11 for Mario.

My first thought. They definitely reworked those NIL contracts to make this make sense during bowl season. Not just us either. Looks to be across CFB.
I wouldn’t be shocked if some of these nil deals had some bowl incentives in it. I’d probably still sit out myself regardless of what pay out they were offering though.

Cam is playing for his teammates. There is a sense this team has a bond we haven't seen at Miami in a while. Look at the comebacks this year. Those kind of wins can really build some juice into a team.

having a quarterback without the personality of a wet blanket will do that.

Idgaf if he’s contractually obligated or doing it for love of team, or a bit of both. Just happy to see us have our best shot of winning available. It’s not a very meaningful game, but as a fan I’ll watch us suit up and play every time. At least until we start ****ting all over ourselves.

I like that we're getting back to the old way of doing it.

I'd like to see Cam play one more time and if we're right, in the NIL/incentive structure, risk is always there when you play football but at least they're making it worth their time.

It's exponentially more likely that he doesn't suffer some catastrophic injury in the bowl game, so he suits up one more time in the Canes uni with his teammates and makes some extra bread to get his NFL lineman some chains.

Also, the fans are happy, TV is happy and Mario gets a real shot at winning the bowl game. Win/Win/Win/Win
