Cam = Best QB in UM history?

Vinny was color blind in the literal sense which perhaps infliuenced his general uniform color confusion

That’s one theory for the reason why that game turned out the way it did.

But when you see him toss the ball into the biggest collection of dark blue jerseys on the field instead of throwing it to a white jersey, well, the color-blind thing doesn’t seem to provide a good excuse.

My Fandom started in 2003, LSU bowl game. So the first QB i experienced was Kyle Wright.

Some decent qbs have come through in my time (Jacory, Kaaya, Morris, King) but none of them can remotely touch Ward.

So easily, Ward is the best QB I've seen at Miami.

What I love about Ward is his performance has really opened up our ability to go after high level passers in the future. We got Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman because Dorsey was so good. We should be able to get other high level guys to come after Ward leaves.

I agree. I think we got them because of the success of Dorsey. I remember we even got a commit from some California guy after we beat the Gators. Can't think of his name Marc something.

I followed Miami earlier but not so much during Toretta's time. Who was Heisman competition and how would you summarize his skills and tenure.Somehow I am amazed he won the Heisman but was he the product of a superior team, much like Dorsey.

You can't cross the game over decades so you can't compare him to our 80's QB's. Cam is great and while I expect to win the ACC, this team is not winning the NC. Always remember Jim Kelly is a first ballot NFL HOFer. 1st ballot!

I could see us winning a natty, it's not outside the realm of possibility.

I don’t even think it’s close. We of course have to see the full season but Cam is he continues along this path enters a completely different level of collegiate QBs.

Since my original post, I'll say this much. You can't hold his level of competition against him and I've now, in just seven games, seen him make plays no other Miami could make. He's special for sure.

Ken Dorsey didn't even wash any of his uniforms that 2001 season, he was that protected. Imagine Cam sitting back there for that long, the things he could do!
