Caleb Chandler

Hopefully Evan will be able to sway his former Oline teammate to Miami much in the same way Brad Kaaya was able sway Bar Milo to Miami all the way from Cali. Chandler is a big ole Georgia country boy so choosing Miami even if it is in quaint Coral Gables could be a tough sell, but doable.

Iowa State? I'm hoping he got his polio leg braces removed, and he decommitted because D1 programs now realize he can play.

Looks like he already has some solid offers. 247 has him as a 4 star and a high 3 star in the composite for those that like the stars and ****.

Caleb Chandler, Jefferson, Offensive Tackle

He's in Richt's former backyard. How hard was Richt recruiting him at UGA?

Ga seems to be loaded at ol every year .

**** this cat has a lot of brothers and they are all big ole country boi's an apparently from another mother, lmao! He almost looks ready to linemen for Miami now.

After last nights Miami vs FAU game I am thinking Evan Sheriff is going to be in Chandler's ear even more about how Miami should be his choice, because he will see the field early.

im an ol guy, i love his film.

I want him and that crazy beast out of Missouri at guard..kid has a mean streak and finishes off blocks. Good trait in an ol..believe this ol class will be real good.

It better be. We need guys who can step in 2 years from now. Have to hit on at least 3 future contributors.

We need guys that can play next year. Not sure we can win big with this OL.

This is such a narrow minded comment. We're leading the nation in rushing behind our offensive line. That's not our issue. Our issue is pass blocking because we have a roster full of guards.

What is this kid? A road grading guard.

Kaaya can't STEP UP in the pocket to step into his throws nor is our inside run game as effective as it should be because the OG's are getting pushed back. An it is no secret that UM needs true Tackles. If there is a narrow minded statement to be found it is in your uninformed AL Goldenesque hollow stats quoting response . You should be ashamed, stop it!

I have a very good eye for dline and online play, go rewatch both games and count how many times our running backs are hit before they even get to the 2nd level ( hint it is alarmingly high)., this why Coach Searels has been having a heart attack for most of the games on the side lines trying to light a fire under the online.

Well we need OTs more acutely than guards, but we still need guards. Their is no quality depth on any part of our OL.

You have a good eye for watching who Kool and Searles follow on Twitter. I never said this kid isn't good, but our play thus far hasn't increased our need for him, it has increased our need for Telfort more than anyone.

Huh.. Yep my "Al Goldenesque" comment. I question your ability to observe an OL because apparently our RBs are getting hit in the backfield at an alarmingly high rate, yet can average 7 yards before they're even touched! Run blocking is not the problem just like I said. We don't have an alarming need for this kid, although I'd take him. The issue is pass blocking.

It's about 4 lineman I will not name that have absolutely zero business at this program. They are lower tier players

mjackson6 since you doubt your own eyes in watching the game and my analysis that oline is an issue, you can hear it straight from Brad Kaaya who clearly says things need to be worked out with oline.

Yes the yads before contact is an impressive stat that is skewd, however the oline problem still remains and will be exploited be by better opponents.

Talking about pass blocking. I'm not trying to pick an argument here. I'm just saying this kid brings us nothing different than what we already have, a roster full of guards. I think we need to cut loose some dead weight on the OL and push them out and maybe take a kid like this. But right now, unless that happens, there's no room or need for this guy.

And yes I doubt your analysis of the OL because you said they get hit in the backfield at an alarming rate, yet we lead the country in yards before contact. This isn't rush yards, or ypc, this is an advanced statistic that shows exactly the opposite of what you're saying. It's no Al Golden statistic.

If we add another OL, it better be a tackle or nothing is ever going to change in our OL performance on the field.

Actually, narrow minded may be believing that a top rushing stat from a sample of 2 games, one of which was a 70-3 thrashing of an inferior and worn out defense, somehow indicates we are all good in the running game.

Trust me, I hope the 2nd half of FAU is more representative of what we will see going forward, but many defenses we will play will not have as many injuries and wear down so easily.

Clearly the passing game needs help, but when you can't run in the first half very well, pretty hard to PA off of that..

They are bringing in three tackles when you consider George Brown Jr. a 2017 addition. If you get Telfort or Ealy you can bounce Donaldson inside. So you go for all the tackles you can get, because Donaldson can be an All-American left guard if it comes to it.
