Cal RB Ott

That's how I feel about Cal. They had a week off most schools besides miami usually get better coming off a bye. At the very least with this being our 6th game in a row they should be more healthy. They traveled to FSU vs us traveling there. I guarantee they will be more excited to play miami vs an FSU team that hadn't won a game yet. That's not even taking to account college game day being there and their QB being from miami. FSU was just a poor example of comparison.
I agree. I know our team must realize they will be getting everyone’s best shot. We will get Cal’s, Louisville will definitely give us **** and I’m sure Manny would love to drop an L on us.

I’m sure Cal will try to run in us and use something similar to what VT did. Tackling has to improve.

Cal lost to a horrendous FSU team and needed 5 turnovers to beat a bad Auburn team by 7. They'll push us to our limit, of course.

That's been the mantra of our ACC opponents... lose or play horrible against terrible teams and then play like world beaters against us... of course the blind ret@rd ACC refs support that script too

lots of factors against us for this game.. hope Mario has the guys dialed in and focused and ready to do business... need to get out of there with a win and look good doing it.. Cal has a lot of advantages this game like you said...

Ott's ankle injury has really slowed him down. Ankle injuries are the worst psychologically - it's always in the back of your mind that if you shift direction quickly or step on someone's foot, your ankle could fold in half again. With hips or knees, you generally know how those are holding up, but something about having your entire body weight bearing down on one small joint doesn't inspire confidence.

If our offense doesn't come out shooting blanks for the third game in a row, UM cruises. This is one where Cam Ward could make it really easy and game is over by halftime. Cal is not a quick strike offense. Their leading receiver has 182 yards on the season. If we score TDs in our early possessions, Cal is not going to be able keep pace. Once we have a 2 TD lead, Cal will feel pressure to pass, and it mostly takes their RBs out of the game.

Their QB is pretty good as well, if they give him time. Obviously, the key to this whole game is the play of our DL, if we are dominant as we've been in some games we should win, they have to be better than they were last week.

Our team goes as our offense goes; in particular the turnover factor. If we play clean football with little to no turnovers, we win every game on the rest of the schedule. Maybe Louisville hangs around if we don't turn it over, but I still think we are better. If we turn the ball over, all bets are off.

Yes I realize this is not a Mensa level comment.

Yep, it was much closer than the 38-17 final score. The TD's in the last few minutes by Sparty made it look like a blowout. But either way, a loss is a loss.
Game turned in the 2nd on a dropped TD. if Mallory doesn’t drop the ball it’s 14–3. then we miss the FG. They marched down and took the lead.

We get a little more push with Bain back, plus their OL is not real good. If our front 7 is relatively healthy, I like our chances. Grt up on them and force them to throw it.
Add in their QB is not like Drones or Brown running the ball. Take way the run and make them throw it.
