I just heard an interesting take on what's going on here. We have to remember this teenage kid has never before really played corner. It's something that's brand new to him & he seems to still be really uncomfortable with. That being said he sees what we're bringing in already & knows the direction were heading with future recruits. Another words he lacks the confidence to know that he'll be able to start at corner & carve a future out for himself when we're lining up studs at that position 2 deep already. So he's trigger shy against them goons. It's not at all his relationship with bandy or baez or anyone else. It's a lack of confidence. If we really want him we might be best served by telling him well put him on offense & special teams.

UF already has like 3 other corners coming in for his class. Not buying that. Just sounds like Shannon swayed the dad.

I'd feel a lot better about just telling Deejay he's a cornerback and recruiting a few more WRs. I feel good about Devonta Smith and we could grab Harley if we wanted.

For some reason that's the way I look at it. Deejay's versatility gives you the option of weighing out and comparing taking 1 WR and 1 extra CB or just 2 WRs. Just thinking of it as an opportunity cost I guess.

If true, then he doesn't belong here. You're a plugged in guy so you would know better than I would, but I find it hard to believe we didn't offer him the chance to play Offense either.

I still just don't understand. Rumph has the ultimate recruiting tool, we have immediate playing time available. Why more elite kids don't see this in our depth chart is beyond me. I keep seeing people say 2018 is loaded, well we need people next year. Elder and Colbert leave this year, along with Jenkins and Carter that's literally all of our 1's. I'm not too worried about the safety position with Johnson, Finley, Wright, James and possibly Carter/Gibbs coming on. We will be set at the nickel spot with Young/Bandy. We need at least 1-2 more corners who could at least contribute in a rotation at boundary. To be this low at a skill position at Miami is mind boggling. Hopefully the staff puts it together.

Well sucks because he has elite athleticism, but it's on to another option. Keep in mind that 2018 is loaded.

And T Byrd didn't matter because 2017 was loaded.

Any UM defensive commit who bolts after everything that is surrounding our program right now...just doesnt want to be here. You could offer him a duffle bag and he would turn it down. We are 4-0....we are ranked #1 0 ...our defense looks LIGHTS OUT...we have a great scheme...our pass defense is #1 in the COUNTRY...our overall defense is top 10...we look like we are having fun...what more do you want? Let him go. Good the *****-bye..Let Brini or Collier in and lock it up.

Was likely already offered a duffle bag.....just saying..

Actually I was thinking to myself, if this kid doesn't want to come down and see Miami-FSU this weekend we should drop him. The staff went and brought him a birthday cake last week and this kids mind is somewhere else. Right did what he could, but no respect there. Move on from him.

This just shows he has what it takes to be a gator -- classless.

I'm glad it's over it stinks to lose him............ but I'd rather lose him now then 2 days before signing day. This gives us a chance to try and replace him.

So good luck to the kid maybe he'll recommit if not we'll see him on the battlefield.

GO CANES!!!!!!!

Throw in the following at Safety

Carter
Gibson
Jobe
Hall

And Frierson might play corner we are stacked
