C.J Henderson

This is a blow but isn't devastating, bring in a juco CB next year because he wouldn't have contributed right away anyways, I think he is being sold on being a utility tool at UF like what were telling Dallas, on to the next.

Well sucks because he has elite athleticism, but it's on to another option. Keep in mind that 2018 is loaded.

And T Byrd didn't matter because 2017 was loaded.

This. After failing to land Byrd during the last cycle, cornerback is easily one of the top priorities (one could argue the top priority) for this class.

We need game-changers and Henderson is one of those. If he does sign with UF, it is extremely disappointing, no other way to slice it.

Henderson, Wilson, and Davis all looking to be pretty set at UF isn't a good look for this staff, Rumph in particular. I know opinions on Davis vary, but Henderson and Wilson are special talents. Given that this is a position of need for us, this development is very discouraging.

Yes Henderson has elite speed for his height and could eventually turn into an elite CB down the road, but we need CBs that have played the position for more than a year and that can possibly contribute next year since we lose Elder and Colbert.

I would really like to try to get back into the mix with that JUCO CB that committed to Bama (I think his name was Dean) and lay out our CB situation versus theirs, since you know that JUCO kids care most about immediate playing time.

Also need to turn the heat back up with Brini again.

****, if we keep playing well and beat F$U and UNC then we might really pick up steam and may have a shot at an elite CB that was never on our radar before.

So if Henderson wants to go be a ****, no big deal.

By the time he ever turns into a special CB in college(if it ever happens) we will already have some of those 2018 CBs on roster and he doesn't touch those kids, so I'm not too worried about losing Henderson.

Kid seems soft anyways and perfect for the Gators.

Bet they make him play offense after selling CB to him (which may actually work out in his favor since he is very raw at CB).

The thought process boggles the mind.

You commit under Golden when we sucked.

You decommit under Richt, when we're rolling and are clearly the best team in the state w the most momentum to go to the most boring team on the field in College Football.

It's gonna be a curb stomp in 2019.

Maybe the kid just likes ****ty coaches.

He didn't commit under Golden

You're right. Feb of this year. Thanks.

His dad wanted him at UF and pushed for him to go to the LSU vs Uf game instead of UM vs FSU, that says it all. Anyways, we have a back game this weekend, Go Canes!

No prob. I just don't really understand this dude's recruitment. No one expected him to commit to us, always considered a UF lean, then we have Bandy to commit on top of already having Jobe, both teammates of his. AND now UF has 3 CB commits with another likely coming in Brad Stewart. I just don't understand why he ever committed in the first place.

I would absolutely trade Henderson for Dean any day, but according to Pete they're not looking at JUCO sadly.

This was expected. My question is how does this affect Trajan Bandy and Josh Jobe? Are they shaky too?

Bandy is about as Cane as it gets. Jobe was committed before either Bandy or Henderson were, he will be heavily recruited but in my opinion he will stick with the canes in the end.

Good riddance... if he doesn't want to be here then **** him we don't want him either. Have fun being on a mediocre SEC team at best for 4 years.

No sauces but I feel like a stud going to end up coming here at corner for this cycle. Let thes wins keep rolling in and watch. Sucks to lose him but I saw the kid as a WR in the future anyway. That's where his potential is.

Who knows w these kids. I almost feel like when he was about to decommit a few months ago the staff told him at least wait to see how we play first, and if you don't like, we respect your decision. He probably agreed thinking we'd be better but nowhere near where we are now, and certainly not better than UF.

At least he's getting out now and not dragging it out.

I'm not ****ed about UFs CB class bc I think we're losing elite DBs. I'm ****ed bc they have 3 from S. Florida. Bad look.

let the kid watch UF up close.. i know his old man was happy he was a Cane commit, as we get to signing day maybe he will be in his ear.. im sure we can bring him back in, just have to keep recruiting him

I think it is the exact opposite..Didnt Pete say Randy and his ole boy were friends from back in the day?

Henderson dad is close with Randy Shannon.

Actually I was thinking to myself, if this kid doesn't want to come down and see Miami-FSU this weekend we should drop him. The staff went and brought him a birthday cake last week and this kids mind is somewhere else. Right did what he could, but no respect there. Move on from him.
