Buzz grows around S. Morris; Canes chatter;

Our offense is simply loaded. Like 2000/2001/2002 loaded.

Depth at QB and RB are probably the only issues.

Wow, PD is so **** fast.
LOL @ Waters is slow

Buzz around UM football as camp approaches Aug. 3:

### UM players were timed in the 40 last week, and one player said Dorsett was the fastest – below a 4.3. Duke Johnson and Waters were close behind. UM players say Antonio Crawford is their fastest cornerback.

Did I read that correctly? Duke and Waters were close behind sub-4.3 Dorsett? This is Herb Waters? Didn't he come in as a 4.6+ guy with great game speed?

I believe blackvern clocked him at 4.74

I kid Vern but for real, thats a real eye opener

Tell you one thing, I don't think I would pick any other QB in the nation if I had to complete a back shoulder/sideline TD pass in the end zone. Hurns is going to catch a handful of those this year IMO.

Dial it back a little hoss. We've got more talent than we've had in a while, but in those years there was elite talent pretty much accross the board.

One thing is for sure: can someone name another University of Miami offensive line comprised of this kind of top NFL talent and overall depth?

Tackles: Flowers, Seantrel Henderson, Bunche (swing tackle), Gadbois
Guards: Linder, Feliciano, Wheeler (senior swing Guard), Isidora
Centers: Mcdermott, Wheeler (?)

How many times was Dorsey sacked in 2001?

How many hair follicles made up Sherko's beard? Its QB being sacked is not the only measurement of a talented and deep OL. Are you saying that 2001 line had more NFL talent and overall depth than the current one? I really don't know what you're getting at, so I'm asking.

Dorsey getting sacked so rarely had a lot to do with him knowing the offense inside out and getting rid of the ball very quickly. He avoided sacks by getting the ball out of his hand in no time.

2001 team was perfectly balanced on offense we had to throw the ball a ton last year to win ball games. for us to win 10 games sm can not throw the ball for another 3500 yards. we have to add balance and start controlling the clock and hope the defense helps out.

We have a problem. We need to run the ball around 450 times (I'd run it more, but whatever) this year. Yet, we only have 1 RB who we know we can count on. Duke would have to somehow take 250 of those carries. Then Clements, Crawford, and the rest of the clan would need to chip in 200? Alex Collins is a **** fool.

OL and WR are loaded and as has been noted earlier OL could be best ever. HOWEVER QB and RB have no experienced, quality depth (I am being generous) and we are one hit away to Duke of Morris from disaster. TE is a question as well- there is talent at TE but not Winslow/Shockey talent yet.

2000-2002 teams were loaded two deap. We are close on offense but not there yet. This is plenty good as long as Duke or Morris do not get hurt.

We have more quality depth at QB than we did in 2000-2002.

RB depth in 2000 was basically JJ and Portis.

The comparison to 2000-2002 in terms of talent and depth is not that far off. This group has a chance to be special.

Agreed, one of the worst recruiting decisions I can remember. Dude would have plugged in here from Day 1 behind an elite line, complemented by an elite RB counterpart and an elite QB. Just stupid.
