Please take a look at this kid's film before making Butler jokes.
Kennedy has better feet and balance than both St Louis and McDermott. I don't think he's as strong, so will struggle with run blocking. But he's a better pass protector today than either of our last two starting LTs. This was our biggest position of need on the offense outside of stabilizing the QB spot. I love this take.
Money making mitch
Imagine you knocking him and then he shows out and you have to eat your words. .His signing is merely a first step.
Tommy has to prove it now.
Imagine the fail IF he can't beat out what's on the roster now?

The film of him against non-scholarship level athletes? Having offers from OU and Auburn certainly makes me feel better about the possibility of him having an impact and, with our need, I'm all for giving him a chance. But it's a giant leap to think he'll immediately lock down the LT spot or be any sort of improvement over what we've had.
I don't think some of you understand just how big of a jump it is from Butler to Miami. Most of the kids that play there chose between Butler, Div III schools, not playing football in college, or maybe walking on at IU/Purdue. I'm hoping he's one of the very, very few from that level that can step up and play at Miami's level, but a more realistic view would be to hope that he can provide some depth.
I’m going to do a breakdown of his game against Youngstown State. They’re coached by Bo Pelini and play in the SEC of the FCS division. It’s not close to Clemson, but that’s a solid level of talent. They tend to have some late round or UDFA camp invites on their team.
I think the Pioneer thing has made some think he’s DIII or NAIA level, but it is Division I-AA.
LT- Kennedy
LG- Boulware/Reed
C- Gaynor
RG- Donaldson
RT- Scaife
Shouldn’t be the worst position group on the team
I’m from Youngstown. Played ball with a lot of guys who went there. Have friends back there still that have seasons tickets to YSU. They’re not what they use to be back when I was a kid in the 90’s and they were dominating under Tressel. The guys who had a shot at the league from there, are usually skills guys that came from South Florida. The overall talent there is at best, 2 steps below FIU. At best.
If FSuck or UFag took a graduate transfer from the FCS, who wasnt a consensus All American, didn’t even make first team in his league, and were depending on him to lock down the left tackle spot.......there would be a thread 40 pages long laughing at them.
But some of you are excited about this pick up. Un****ing real.
