L made basketball relevant. overall, for a good pro hoops market thanks to the heat, college basketball (miami or not) has always been extremely unpopular in SFL. its always one of the lowest rated tv markets for march madness without fail even though SFL tends to be a highly rated pro Hoops market whether or not the heat are playing.

its like baseball. there is a lot of interest in playing baseball locally and Florida has a ton of leagues, BUT no one gives a **** to watch or attend (i can get people not attending the marlins), but no one even watches pro baseball here.
