Brashard Smith is Antonio Brown!!!

He's good but he ain't that good...

AB is legitimately one of the best route runners to ever come out of South FL, he's in the same class as Ocho Cinco in terms of footwork & getting open. Brashard has a LOOOOOONG way to go before he's on that level.

Very good player, great upside, but not in the same class as AB as a pure WR.
Thoughts on Smith vs Brooks?

I’m no film junkie, but just based on my limited viewing of their 5 minute highlight reels, I feel like Smith is the “smoother” athlete of the 2. Both run that little pivot route on the goal line and Smith just looks better doing it.

Don’t kill me if this is a terrible take.

From a powerful explosion standpoint, I cant remember the last WR we signed as impressive as he is in that department. He is strong as an ox and can house it from anywhere on the field. Who gaf about his ranking, he can play anywhere.

He honestly reminds of Dalvin Cook with his explosiveness, balance and ability to shake off defenders. Obviously different positions. But the kid is a baller.

I’ll give you a UM comparison. At this stage on their lives (can’t predict the future), this young man plays like Kevin Williams. Explosive, not tall, stocky build that allows him to break some tackles, quick Feet, and gets to top speed quickly.

They're two totally different WR's, Jacorey Brooks is legit 6'3 almost 200lbs & is a big bodied chain mover, Smith is 5'9/10 & is a Slot-back with quick feet & great break away speed.

Smith is faster with much more pure speed, Brooks is way bigger with more power & good YAC ability.

It's not wise to compare players that are so far away from each other in terms of what they do & what their prototype is. Brooks is a traditional X-WR, Smith is a Y-Slot with multi-use versatility.

They both have great upside but they're just way too different to compare IMO.

Why is he only a 3 star? He’s making one handed catches in multiple highlights, has elite speed, making plays in traffic and also runs through contact.
Plays like AB :rickflair2:

He should already have his own thread title I couldn’t find it if there already was one.

I was going to post this as well, the guy is borderline 5 star for sure. If you ask me he's more of the next Devin Hester. The guy is very important to get out of everyone else on the Miami interest list.

100% agree. **** the rankings on him. He, Christian Leary, and Jason Marshall have the best highlight film in
The state of Florida. You WIN BIG GAMES with Brashard Smiths on your team. I hope he’s the one committing to Miami tomorrow.

Borderline 5 star? Naw but he should definitely be rated in that top 200-150 range imo

Agreed ABs Footwork is unf—kwithable.

Brashard, to me is Curtis Samuel. Tough, fast, confident.

So, my problem isn’t that I don’t know what I’m looking at as much as I don’t even know what I’m supposed to be looking for. Disheartening :(

That said... if you wouldn’t mind sating my curiosity - given the “Smoltz or Maddux, not both” test with these two, whoya got?
