How come a guy from the same recruiting class as him & a younger guy played ahead of him?

He wasn't passed up by Upperclassmen Seniors & is waiting his turn. Is not registering to yall that he doesn't play because he's not that good?
So it's not just us who always has their best player on the bench.

I haven’t even seen a flash from him. We’ve seen a flash from Jojo. I didn’t watch many OSU games but I don’t remember him doing anything.
Fwiw I asked some OSU people if Innis was gonna transfer before the winter portal opened. They seem to really like him there even though they are clearly stupid with WR talent

He could be the next Jacorey Brooks who with a fresh start could eventually live up to the hype. Granted Jacorey played more and put up better numbers than Innis. I believe we should kick the tires on him because he would complement our wide receiver room nicely pair him up with CJ Daniels JoJo trader NC Carr, and one of the freshman and that has the makings of a solid room. I don’t agree with the people that say Innis is trash because we all said the same thing or at least a majority of us about Brooks and dragged him through the mud and we saw how that turned out this year.

Is not registering to yall that he doesn't play because he's not that good could turn out to be the next Cory Brooks, who were the Fresh Start could start to live up to the hype or he could be just a long another and a long list of highly talented South Florida receivers who never announces to anything. I would definitely kick the tires here because I think he can complement our wide receiver room nicely and I’m not really sure what will shake loose in the spring Portal. I remember a lot of guys on here dragging Jacorey Brooks through the mud saying he was a bust overrated and wasn’t gonna do Jack at Louisville and we all seen how that turned out.

I think Innis would start at slot for us in 2025, and have a productive season, regardless of what he has or hasn't done at Ohio State.

These are the college and one HS highlight I found for Innis on Youtube; the slot position is well-utilized by Dawson, but other than the system is there anything else you base your belief on?

Height is like the least important trait I think we should be after. I mean anything 5'10" and above is fine imo.
I would want a certified stud in the Slot #1. I'd take a legit #1 Outside weapon obviously, but don't particularly care if they are a tall guy or not. Given our current WR lineup, Daniels and Jojo are our top 2 and both will likely be starting on the outside.... Though I guess Dawson could just put whoever our best WR is in the "slot" role, which is like his force feed the ball role. It's not really like there aren't a whole bunch of different types of slot wrs....
maybe its what you would do.

BUTT............................... IT AINT WHAT OUR COACHES VIEW.

Our coaches literally just offered a 6'5 wr and before tried to grab another 6'5 guy. We have over 3 kids currently on the roster that can play in the slot. Its the reason they are currently in search for height on the roster after losing 6'4 Zay Horton and 6'3 Brown.

I dont think we have a starting lineup so im not penciling Daniels or Trader as our top 2 anything.

We're not the Miami Dolphins who will have a wr room complete with all 5'10 and under guys. lol

They need different body types and likely are searching for that. Thats why when certain wrs enter i know we wont be looking their way. Our incoming freshman wr Moore is about to be the biggest guy in the room. Zay Horton getting tampered with really screwed it out because to me he was gonna be THAT guy but others saw what we saw as well.

If I remember right, Innis was seen as a finished product coming out and from what I’ve seen, is a good complementary WR3 (WR2 in a perfect situation). I don’t see WR1 in him and WR2 would be eating from Jojo or Ny. Would have been nice to get him out of high school, but not that interested now from the portal.

I’m betting we could do MUCH, MUCH better getting a WR1 talent in the portal than Innis.

Hes wr 4 there playing behind Ebungka or whatever the african kid name is.

You really know he doesnt play the same spots as Smith or Tate. He is a Y wr up there.

I'm not clamoring for him to come here at all. But its kind of the best wr room in the country fairly easily. Since he has went there..OTHER high star wrs have been pushed out or left. Seems to be he had some roll albe it small that allowed for him to still be there, whether it was him as a pr or whatever.

He wouldnt be in the top 10 wrs i wanted ha dhe entered the portal already but i do expect a production increase with ol boy moving on to the draft.

Or is that because of supply. Look at all the WRs we were after this portal period as a whole and how many of them were 6'4" +?
Seems like we very strongly went at Slot guys to me. I honestly think they are just going to try to add the best WR in Spring, regardless of type. And that's probably the best way to go tbh. Figure out who starts where after you just bring in the best WR you can.
