So, we're a 4 seed. Alright. That sounds about right. Finish well in the ACC, we could bump that up to a 3 seed (or even a 2 if things fell just right). Finish poorly, we could get bumped all the way down to a 7 seed.

As they say - just win, and let the other stuff work itself out.

Going off of those projections, we've already beaten 7 NCAA teams and 2 of our 4 losses are to NCAA teams.

USA Today Bracketology has us as a #4 playing #1 3 Stony Brook as of today (2/8). It would be nice to be a top 3 seed and avoid playing the #1 seed until the Elite 8.

They also have UF has an #8 , Notre Dame as a #5 , FSU as a #1 1, Pitt as a #7 , UVA as a #2 , Syracuse as a #9 , Clemson as a #1 2, Utah as a #4 , Duke as a #6 , and UNC as a #2 .

Lunardi also has us as a #4 playing Stony Brook. Most of the other teams are very similar. He has Butler in too, but Clemson out.

FSU as a #1 ? Don't think so, you looking at woman's bracket?

It doesn't say #1 , it says #1 1. Read it again.
Comes out as a typo on tapatalk (extra space after 1st 1). Maybe it looks different on your device. BTW Noles getting crushed by cuse 2nite.

There is an extra space, but it's not because I typed it, it's when you put a # sign, it, for whatever reason, leaves a space.

USA Today's bracketology from this morning has Miami as a 3 seed playing 14 UAB. They even mention us in their opening:

A relatively slow day for movement in the bracket on Sunday. Miami solidified its place on the No. 3 line with a tough win at Florida State, who stays in despite the loss. Arizona got a nice win vs. USC and is now tied for first place in the Pac-12. The Wildcats needed more wins against the RPI top 50 and got one Sunday. Kansas remains the top overall seed following its road win this weekend against another No. 1 seed, Oklahoma.

UVA is a 1, Utah is a 4, Notre Dame is a 5, FSU is a 11, Pitt is a 9, Duke is a 4, Florida as an 8, Syracuse as a 9 and UNC is a 2. Clemson and Butler are "others considered."

Joe Lunardi has Miami as a 3 playing Stephen F. Austin. He has all the above teams in.

Jerry Palm at CBS has Miami as a 2 playing 15 Belmont. He has all the above teams, plus Butler.

I firmly believe if we win the ACC Tourney, we'll be a #2 East or South region.
But knowing how the NCAA enjoys ******** with Miami, we could end up out West or put in the toughest region.

We're a #3 seed according to Lunardi before beating UVA. UVA was a #1 seed. Someone please explain why UVA is a #1 and we're a #3 -4? We have a better record, better ACC record, their RPI is 5, ours is 8. We split the season series. I could go on.

We should be a high 2 after this game. There is no question about it.

With how much the top eight seeds are shuffling around so constantly, if we finish the season really well, we could end up as a high 2 seed and maybe (if things play out perfectly) a 1 seed.

Realistically though, we go as a 2 or 3 seed.

UVA has a beast OOC resume that includes a win over the current number 1 team in the nation. With the win tonight our resumes are about even though and we should both be current 2 or 3 seeds.

I believe Miami moves up to a #2 seed after the win against Virginia, but Joe Lunardi said it yesterday that none of the team that are 1 seeds are safe. Meaning that they're not a lock to get a #1 seed. Hopefully Miami can close the stretch right and lock up a #1 seed going into the tournament.
