Bo Nix to Oregon

Wright had a big arm. That was it. No touch and accuracy issues all over the place. He threw everything one speed, often high, and didn't process anything fast. He just didn't transition well to the college game at all.
I'm no HS talent evaluator, far from it but .... if what you say was true (and it is), there is NO WAY he should've been ranked anywhere near the top like he was.

Having "no touch and accuracy issues all over the place" never equated to a 5 star, in any era. Recruiting sites being in their "infancy" doesn't really cut it as much of an excuse.

19. Garden Minshew - 6’1 225 lbs
20. Matthew Stafford - 6’3 220 lbs
21. Jacoby Brissett - 6’4 235 lbs
22. Bryce Young - 5’10 204 lbs
23. Derek Carr - 6’3 215 lbs
24. Trevor Lawrence - 6’6 220 lbs
25. Justin Herbert - 6’6 236 lbs

30. Will Levis - 6’4 224 lbs
31. Sam Darnold - 6’3 225 lbs
32. Daniel Jones - 6’5 230 lbs

In the NFL, the focus is on arm talent not so much physical measurable, & this is throughout history from Montana, Young, Moon, Farve, etc. Most of ur QBs are between 6’2-6’3.

The avg. starting QB measurable right now is 6’2 1/3 & 222 lbs. Are there some talented, iconic 6’5+ QBs in NFL history? Yes, but the vast majority of them have been bust. For the Peytons, Big Bens, Trevors, Josh Allens of the world, you have the Dan McGwire, Brock Osweiler, Tyler Bray, Derek Anderson, Josh Freeman, JaMarcus Russell, Tony Pike, Ryan Mallet, Ryan Leaf, John Skelton, Blaine Gabbert, Matt Jones, etc. etc. etc.

Just speaking with a former scout, I was told while big QBs are tempting, a lot of them have mechanical issues, & bad habits b/c usually they are unstoppable; but at the same time, they don’t learn proper mechanics b/c of being unstoppable. The combine kinda expose said mechanical issues. That’s y seeing Manning have not only the quick release, but velocity with accuracy at his height is a phenomenon.

Just wanted to give some in depth clarity about what a “prerequisite” QB looks like b/c I know that’s been a hot discussion. If Judd at 6’6 can spin it w/ accuracy, & and show athleticism, then he’ll fa sho be a NFL guy; but, to be blunt & frank…I don’t see it, just like I didn’t see it w/ Gary Crow who was being championed, Preston Dewey, Jake Garcia. I did think Jack Allison was going to be a guy here, but wooof. So we’ll see w/ Judd, but I’m iffy on him based upon HS tape.

Forgot baby Jesus himself. Kevin Olsen was 6'5 iirc.

How many games will they win with him leading this team? Over / under 8 ?
Schedule is really favorable this year, i think its an underrated team. Depending on the odds id take that over

I think he will operate the offense better than russ but he can’t takeover a game in the 4th like russ can.

Pat Nix was seen as one of the worst OCs at the U when he was here ... along with Werner and Jon Richt

Legit was; but good dude. He adopted Oregon’s Tez Johnson at 15 yrs old when he played ball w/ Bo in HS. Tex had it rough & Pat took him in. So soon, he’s going to have two sons w/ a crazy story in the NFL if Tez balls like he did last yr.
