Yeah and I still agree. Nix is lucky to be playing in a conference where defense is an afterthought. He’s still the same guy that had to leave Auburn cuz he wasn’t very good
Agree he is not an NFL QB imo, but he certainly is not worse than Anthony Brown as some alluded.

You're getting expired meats at the end of the day at a Walmart like Joe Exotic with either of these choices.

Congrats to Oregon for getting their 7 days expired Oscar Meyer weiners.

Man, saw this thread and really had to see what kind of take I had. Was praying for a hit. I like to think this take hit. Nix is still expired meat...edible. got the job done.

pac 12 legit has 2 of the best teams in the nation in Washington and Oregon. Utah has a crazy stout defense. This isn’t the pac 12 of 10 years ago. USC has a bad defense and already exposed. The PNW teams are seemingly legit this year.

Look at his numbers outside the PAC last season. There may be good offensive TEAMS in the PAC but not defenses

The pac 12 has 2 teams that play good d ...1 being his own team.

The rest of the other teams are g5 level on defense. Its bad.

Even the GOOD defenses they have are basic when they match up in the playoffs or elsewhere most times.

Id say Washington usually have a good to solid unit..and they are rabbit food for the elites lol

Wright was considered by all the "experts" to be the #1 QB in the nation as a HS senior. Turned out he couldn't hit the proverbial broadside of a barn at UM. How was an eval THAT wrong even possible?

He was and he wasn't. The number 2 QB in that class was Chris Leak. He was the Parade All American player of the year that year. Recruiting sites were in their infancy while Parade had been around for ages. They eventually met up in the All American Bowl and any who watched that game knew without a doubt that Leak was the real deal while Wright looked bad.

Wright had a big arm. That was it. No touch and accuracy issues all over the place. He threw everything one speed, often high, and didn't process anything fast. He just didn't transition well to the college game at all.
