Blake James Needs To Grow Some Balls

Golden embarrassed the school, the football program and himself. He essentially made us look like a second tier program. Anyone that says its ok, its his dream job is dumb as ****. He is the head coach of the Miami Hurricanes, not some second tier program. This is the dream job. Not PSU, not Bama not anywhere else. Could you ever imagine a HC wanting to go from Alabama to PSU, or from FSU to PSU. I don't care if its his alma mater. The guy made the University of Miami and its football program look like a second tier program.

He should be fired but won't even though it should be clear to all that he no longer wants to be here.

more money, home, alma mater.

Assy Valley isn't his home, but carry on with the nonsense.

hes from jersey, wife is from PA, spent at least 10 years of his playing and professional career in PA. thats pretty close to home.

He corched there for a year or two. Wasn't there 10 years. NJ is not Assy Valley.

Franchise,
hoops156 suggested that Golden's reasons for possibly leaving were "more money, home, [and] alma mater." You seemed to disagree with the "home part" of his comment. Do you also disagree with the "more money" and/or "alma mater" part? If so, why do YOU think he is considering leaving?

I'm sure they'd offer him more money if they offered him the job. I hope they triple his salary.

Love how the mods and the inmates have allowed this board to devolve into canesport lately

I don't understand why he didn't come out sooner and say I'm not going anywhere. It's like he intentionally tried to hurt the program. Even if it was a lie in the end....? Why kill recruiting and then come back to a program where, the scheme isn't helping you win games. If the scheme dont work you better have the talent.

Imagine if our line is the Achilles heel of our team next season. And it's all because "rumors" weren't addressed earlier.

if you really want the athletic director to go in and fire coordinators without the permission of the coach, then good luck getting any coach of worth to ever come here again. stupid suggestion.

When the stadium was near empty and we hadn't won a single title we hired a Super Bowl winning OC who also won three rings as an OC under Bama. What, other than 5 championships and much more money, makes this school different now than then?

If the university hired based on qualifications, and used the same etrance requirements as major programs, we'd be doing just fine. But hey, let's perpetuate a myth that we can only hire garbage coaches.

Not saying I agree with it but what people don't realize is EVERY Canes board has "devolved" into this because we are tired of being mediocre. I'm not joining in but I totally understand. Al has to win to get the fans back. Empty words aren't good enough anymore.

Only people that are perpetuating any myths are the ones selling the Miami job as a dream job. It's not. Just like back When Schnellenberger was hired, it's a good job. Stepping stone job if you will.
Only a handful of dream jobs around and this aint one of them.
