Blake James Needs To Grow Some Balls

1. You cannot fire Al Golden for being a candidate for another job.

People don't want to fire AG... cost too much $$. Fire No'D & either Al leaves on his own or we improve our DC.

Simple as that

Not really that simple because it's Coach Cloud's defense. Simply swapping in a new stooge to run that defense isn't going to help anything.

Agree but he may leave if we give his boyfriend the boot.

Yeah. That's why I posted that idea about a week ago and a few guys ran with it.

What I said isn't simple is swapping the DC causing an improvement.

I am sorry you want to punish Al Golden for being a candidate for another job. That should make the job really attractive for the next hire.

If you want Blake James to fire No'D, I am all for it but he cannot do it as retaliation for the Golden's interview with Penn State. It will make James look petty and hurt Miami in the long run

Why do you keep posting this stupid ****? Why does UM need to make its job attractive to guys who want to jump to another college job? You want to discourage that **** if your UM, goofy.

Dead on, a great post and very accurate.

What Blake James needs to do is fire Dorito. This will force Golden's hand.....he stays and we get a new D coordinator, or he walks because he got undermined. Win win in my book.

**** that. It's clear Al doesn't want to be here.

why do you guys continue to troll and trash your own team? its sad...you have no actual facts concerning the PSU deal. you hear a rumor from some internet "source" and you proceed to trash everyone that has anything to do with the school.

Schnellenberger left Miami for USFL, Johnson, Davis and Erickson all left for the NFL. The best Miami coaches are the one who look at this job as stepping stone to something bigger. The only two coaches that wanted to be here for life were Coker and Shannon.

Here are the list of people up for the Texas job Saban, Fisher, Malzahn, Art Briles, James Franklin, and Jim Mora. Did any of those AD punish their coach? Good coaches get job offers either from other schools or NFL teams. If you want a good coach you have to live with it.

disagree, while it was not James' fault, Golden is entitled to some leeway here based on the fact that the U (read shalala) screwed him royally by not disclosing the ncaa caca. he still has some currency from that event to use here.

IMHO, he is still waiting to jump ship to PSU and hence his discomfort at his last 3 appearances. not even in the worse of times was ever so uncomfortable as he was on Monday and Tuesday.

Get one thing straight....Golden is NOT our team. He is fom NJ and went to Pedo St. He is not our **** team. Randy Shannon was our team and when he ****ed up he got ran outa town. Deal with it. Golden is playing game with OUR team and some of you sit there and take sides with him. Couldn't even answer and straight question monday. He needs to be given his boot. I mean what exactly is so compelling about him that any competent coach couldn't have done? Losing Golden is not life and death. He is ****ting on the U at midfield

Notice where I said college jobs? I swear some of you cats are incapable of basic reading tasks. UM is not a stepping stone job to other colleges. Never has been. Never should be. And that **** should be discouraged at all costs. It's the new generation of weak UM fans who see UM as some sort of inferior gig.

Goldens a snake? Lol since when?

Since he call a press conference and couldnt answer a question about something that obviously happened. Definition of snake.

Yep. Pretty obvious why he's snake. He issued a limp non-commital written statement and has refused to be enthusiastic about UM. He's still slithering around stealing paychecks from UM hoping momma calls so he can back to Assy Valley.

UM is not the democratic party. They cannot simply circumvent contract law because it doesnt benefit them at the moment.

As noted, if UM fires golden they will have to pay the balance of his contract. If Al leaves on his own, he (or his new employer) will have to pay UM for the balance of his contract (or buyout clause, assuming there is one).

Keep in mind that UM had to have given Al persmission to meet with PSU.

This said, Im with BigCaneAl (oh the irony of that screen name-lol) in thinking that Blake James needs to fire dorito. Coordinator contracts are all typically 1-year renewable contracts. He could toss dorito to the curb at any time.

Is there any validity to any of this or is it just a "I hate Al Golden" circle jerk?

Maybe you missed the 6 coaches I listed who were candidates at Texas, who happen to be among the best college football coaches in America. Notice how none of those AD punished their coach. Name me one school that punished their coach for interviewing at another job?

I am not a weak as fan, I just don't have my head up my *** and believe our AD should act like 15 year old girl because Al Golden may have interest another job. Miami is a great job but if you put a restriction that if you come to Miami you can never ever interview for another college job, your limiting the number of candidates who would want to come here, that means people like Saban, Fisher, Malzahn, Briles, Franklin and Mora will never coach here.

Sorry-- you only hold a gun to someone's head ONCE-- Golden did that already when he threatened to leave if he didn't get his precious extension-- so no, he's entitled to jack$hit.

You have this all twisted. It's not JUST that he interviewed, it's that he sucks and refuses to make the necessary changes. That AND this flirtation are why I want him gone. I don't want him fired though... I want that 5 million dollar buyout.

Why did Miami give Golden a contract extension until 2020?! 2020!!!! How does an unproven coach talk his way into that one?!?

For the love of sanity, please lock this thread. There are literally dozens of anti Golden and fire Dorito threads. We dont need any more.

It's a delicate situation behind the scenes. Blake is doing all the right things.

Like you know. The truth is Al has us by the balls with his contract and we have to pay him big bucks if we fire him . We have him by the balls with a buyout.

You're slow on the uptake, so I'm finished with you after this. Your boy Goldens interviewed with Ped State and wanted the job. There's absolutely zero proof that Saban, Fisher, Malzahn, Briles or Mora interviewed with Texas. There were only reports that Texas was interested in them, and most of those guys quickly shot those reports down. No proof they took the step of going to Texas to interview for the job. Certainly, none of those guys went dark for 3 days while playing footsies with Texas and acted like mopey ******s once they were forced to return to their respective campuses.

I've been saying this since Friday....if Blake James had half a ******* clue (or real power)...this should have been the move ALREADY.

So either Blake is a ******* moron and has no business being in the position he's in...

or

Donna can't keep her little hobbit fingers off the issue and wants a nice guy coach who will graduate kids, kiss babies, and shake hands with the media while singing Kumbaya.

Either way...we're ****ed as long as this administration stays here.
