So...there you go. All of those top teams, some of them with major traditions have almost NEVER tinkered with their color schemes. The only ones who have used black are the schools that actually have black in their logos (Crazy right?).

Go root for a traditional team that never changes their uniforms, then. Otherwise, harden the fvck up and get used to it. But make sure whatever school you pick that they're a Nike school, because you apparently hate Adidas uniforms...even though those were two good examples in my list of teams who used gray/black in uniforms but don't have it as a part of their color schemes.

My point was that teams change stuff, and that we should get used to it. Some of it's minor (houndstooth in the Bama uni), some of it's pretty major (see the crazy Pro Combat UGA helmet). I spaced on LSU's black uniform, because that was a concept I saw that was supposed to be what they wore against Oregon in one of the season kickoff games a few years back.

If the kids like it, and it's fun, they're going to wear it. Kwitcherbytchin.

I think you're missing his point

How so? All of our school colors are represented there. Orange/green/white. It's just on a black base color uniform. It says Miami on the jersey, and Canes on the shorts...all in our "Dade Bold" font that Nike made for us.

If the concern is the school colors, then dude has zero room to complain about the uniform in that picture, because they're all there. They may not be the "dominant" colors, but they are there. If nothing else, having a neutral color like black/white/gray is great with our colors, because they pop pretty nicely off of the uniform.

I'll be on Hurracanes and others' page when we trot out a uniform without orange/green/white somewhere on the uniform. If it's all black or all gray or all white, and no orange/green is present...then I'd be just as upset as that group of folks are. Otherwise, it's just complaining to complain.

just my opinion but I think its stupid when teams just start wearing black to try and be cool and its not in their color scheme. for example the Arizona cardinals or philly eagles.
