2025 Ben Hanks Jr 4* CB from Booker T Commits to the Gator

It just seems like this is the guy. Better chance to flip than Pickett. Would be disappointed to see him not flip, feel like it’s a when not if thing with him so long as we have the top offer.

And he’s worth every penny.
bad news is I don't think we are flipping either but I never doubt Mario..

We see 👀 you Big Ben. You're a natural throwing up the "U".

Leonardo Dicaprio Kinda GIF

His hands are making a "W" not a "U"

We do have a better chance with Hanks, but still slim. This is the same situation as the Boozer twins. Miami seems to be the only program that has our legacies not follow through a lot of the times. If we flip Alford and Carter from OSU I'll be satisfied. Need to hit on a few portal guys. Safety and Nickle corner the biggest needs.

I know everyone was really gung ho about getting out of the ACC but after watching this first year of the 12-team bracket play out the ACC is extremely favorable for us if we stay the course. Certainly like our odds here a lot more than in the Big 10 or SEC
SEC? I agree. BIG10? Na, they get too much credit riding Michigan and Ohio State's coattails. That's akin to the ACC around the peak of the first CFP when Clemson and FSU were legit.

Fair. Objectively I just think the path to the playoff is easier in the ACC than the Big 10

@DMoney from the November 19, 2024 Bank.

- The Canes will continue to fight for CB Ben Hanks (Booker T) and WR Vernell Brown (Orlando) but those are tough battles.

Sometimes I think people forget when you're recruiting a kid it's not for who he is at that moment it's for who he will be two to three years from now who he will be by the time he develops his peak potential what you see out of this person based on his tools. Maybe just let things play out

Platinum quality post

I have never felt great about landing him, buts wild how Miami can never land the best player from South Florida, and its a variety of reasons.

2025-Hanks
2024-Smith
2023-Innis
2022-Stewart
2021-Turner
2020-Harris/Henderson/Wingo
2019-Stevenson

Obviously Bain has turned out better than Innis, but my point is still there

On3 and Rivals have Moore over Hanks.
247 and ESPN have Hanks over Moore.

I get the thought process but how many times do we actually see that play out? Cooper is a good example. Njuko is a perfect example. Who else from your perspective was raw with great tools that we turned into a great player?
