Beau Sandland

Some random guy's Twitter who went to Pierce with him said he "heard" Beau was thinking about it.

So he doesn't know jack.

He just observed what we all did, which is that Beau didn't get tons of burn. But by all accounts, his included, that's because of the transition from JuCo level to D1.

Beau isn't going anywhere.

Where does the blame lie with this season's lack of production from the TE position?.
Its stephen morris fault. When any other qb get in they look for the tight end except for morris. Morris only looks for hurns and coley and thats it. I havent seen him throw to herb waters since the duke game... I cant wait until he graduates man...

guess beau wasn't shockey like many crowned him to be. think it was a combo of under utilization/talent of beau that kept him off the field. hope he sticks, but wouldn't surprise if he bolts

2012 production 31 receptions 511 yards 4 TD out of the TEs
2013 production 43 receptions 504 yards 4 TD out of the TEs

Looks about the same as the previous year to me.

Sandland should be the starter next year and would be a fool to leave.

He's not better than Clive, otherwise he woulda been on the field all year. The Warlord can help if Morris never looks his way, all he does is make plays whenever he gets the chance.

So because the numbers were similar to last year they weren't under utilized.

I am hoping the next guy who starts at QB makes friends with Sandland and Walford. I would like to see (combined) 70 receptions 1000 yards and 8 TDs out of them both.

They both could be on the field at one time, something tells me both could start for most teams in the conference.

And there is only one common thread between the two years, Morris. For all of his god given ability to sling the rock, Morris just can't seem to locate his safety valve. This is extremely evident when Williams is in, and the TE's are getting at least 2 passes on each drive.

He'd be crazy to leave. Williams likes to throw to him a lot (as he did when the 2 got on the field). Now's his time.

If Williams starts I think the stats for our TDs improve significantly because I'm banking on him being the master of the short and intermediate routes.

Sandland couldn't get reps over Cleveland, who has one career TD. That is a bit concerning to me, but I hope he elevates his game because having him as an option could help to make Williams and our offense more efficient.

Waldford hasnt done **** IMO to prove he is the better player. This was another position throughout the year that needed a facelift. Not only did he dropped too many passes this season, but i just dont think he is althletic enough to be a mismatch for LB's. Prime example of the staff being complacent and not promoting competition. Granted, we havent seen too much of Sandland to crown him as the starter, but Walford is below average and we can use a fresh body for next season.. Standish stand up boy!!

He was crowned before playing a down. He said himself it was tough adjusting to the speed coming from juco. He couldn't beat out Walford or Cleveland either. I'm hoping we see something out of him before he leaves.

I have a feeling he makes a jump next year. He'll have a season under his belt, and entire spring practice and off-season to improve. Williams loves to throw tho this kid, seems like one of his favorite targets in limited reps.

2012 - 25 catches 451 yards 18 avg 4 TDs
2013 - 30 catches 372 yards 12 avg 2 TDs

What I have seen from Beau thus far is Walford at this point is the better tight end to be in this offense because he can catch a pass in the flat and break a tackle or he can make a great hands play and hold on to the ball while getting hit. Everyone has drops, but he is for the most part reliable. The dude isnt slow either. Walford was our best tight end, point blank.
