People on here were very close to the situation and if I’m not mistaken Pope was considered a Bama lock at one point. I know he wasn’t committed but to say they didn’t prioritize him would be a mistake.

Pope to Bama didnt last long if I'm not mistaken. Much different to be in contention with Bama vs a kid already committed there. That's entirely another topic though

Kid was going to Bama. The new staff worked hard to land him. Luigi left to Oregon and we also hired Cooney. A lot had to happen. Kid wasn’t even considering us for a while.

Think his OSU OV sealed the deal. With that being said, we should stay on him and not let up. He will have a bunch of his teammates committed to UM, can come to home games, and see the development of our DB's.

Wasn't it reported once upon a time that he was driving around w/ a Bama license plate or license plate cover? Many thought he was all Bama, fa sho.

That was me. I saw that issh parked next to the Hecht and almost went full LA Riot. Saw that it was him that got out so I went Orange Juice Jones. So instead I chilled.
 
I’ll tell y’all what and I hope I’m not speaking too soon or jinksking anything but this is taking a while. I think it’s good for us. The longer he takes to commit the better specially since they are so far from him and he would have to pay to get there from here on out.
