ivins has been pretty objective when it comes to covering the Canes as it relates to his ND fandom. He also isn't writing for ND while also covering the canes. Erick is covering both teams while claiming to rep Miami

He can make his money, that's what we all work for. That isn't the issue at hand... the issue is he shouldn't be affiliated with canesinsight. Especially given the fact dude was already nut swinging on gaytor and kkkrimson tide players AS A MIAMI HURRICANES WRITER

It's virtually unheard of to work for 2 competing brands and openly endorse both in any industry

Let the kid live.. instead of you guys complaining about him maybe you guys should come together and donate money to this site so he wouldn’t have to go anywhere else for money.

If the kid is bringing us good recruitment news on a regular basis for FREE why does it even matter?

Journalism in it's truest form is reporting a story. Asking pertinent questions and reporting the responses. Opinions by reporters is what destroys journalism. Sticking to the "story" will be the test of Erick's integrity. There are plenty of Canes on this site that will BBQ his *** if he gets out of line.

Additionally, no one appreciates the info this site provides more than me and it's FREE!

That’s implies we would actually want to use the money to keep that scrub, instead of push this site in a more professional direction.

But he also sucks as a journalist. It's one thing to help a fellow Cane grow and get better at reporting. But an error-ridden article from a half gator should not be on this ******* site. This is ******* laughable. "Oh but eh he's just a college kid let him be." Fire this ******. He's reporting on our rivals. Is Ivins reporting on ND? No? Because you don't want a reporter covering two teams like that.

Last thing I'll say to you is you're only getting upvotes because you're the owner of this site. We now have a half gator writing for us. And he sucks at writing. When Ivins takes a job at Rivals writing for ND then we can talk. Otherwise that's just a bunch of bull****.

Is this your son or something? I don't see a reason to keep on a ****** writer that just took a job writing for the gators. Wtf is going on.

A small part of the reason to have reporters is that it makes Miami look good (at least from the perspective of the fans; maybe that's not a reason for an owner). We have reporters for our own fan site that are showing players love. They interview players presumably while repping the U, and showing recruits that our fans are following them and care. Now he can wear UF gear to a game, interview a player, and at the end say "Oh yeah, and this is also for a Canes site I post on sometimes."

Don't make us fly a banner to save canesinsight. This better be an April fools joke..

I thought it was a joke until I saw that the Gators Rivals' Twitter account has been retweeting all of his UF tweets.

It’s Actully really funny if you think about it. The gators are so desperate for rivals writers they had to pluck a very unfinished product hurricanes fan from a free site. I’d be ****ed if I was paying for material and knew that.

In the journalism world this is the equivalent of Evan sheriffs transferring to the gaytors and starting the next season(which would be a possibility with their train wreck at the position). i Think we may end up getting some gator tears out of this.

Fly whatever banner you need to. People have been questioning my decisions since 2011. We just had our biggest March ever. We're the biggest Canes site going. And we still haven't charged a dime.

All we can do is provide choices. You decide what you want to read and what you want to ignore.

UF never cost us a National Championship - they've actually taken their *** whippings like they deserved.

ND is the absolute worst -

OSU has one of our NC trophies in their case.

They are NOT equally bad - UF is like a cousin you see every five or six years - you just whip his butt - and he goes away for another 5-6 years.
