Not Happy with this choice.

Very risky putting the reigns of an offense that should be ready to break out next year into such inexperienced hands.

Long term maybe its a mistake but short term its a ******* home run.

And by short term I mean two weeks.

I'm surprised that Jimbo would allow us to talk to Coley much less let him walk to a rival school.

Would he bring the shotgun spread?

Contrary to what the nolies will tell you, Coley is not a spread guy. Jimbo may have pushed that agenda, but Coley is a TE specialist and while at FIU, he was a big time running game proponent.

"I spoke to someone today who has dealt with Coley a lot in the past. According to this person, 1) He has a wife and kid that still live down here, 2) he would take the job if offered"

well Peter...if you're right, we say good gob, go get us more information

if wrong, we say bad job, and we stone you...cool?

when you bring in the talent that we will bring with him, anyone can call plays! ****, Larry Coker was a great O-coordinator when he had top SFL talent!

if FSU or UF get a NCAA violation and/or one of the visitors commit,

this site will blow up

I look at this two ways. First off, if Golden indeed offered the position, he has thought things through and believes in the offense and not just the recruiting impact.

If FSU does indeed raise his pay or give him play calling duties, it should resonate in recruit’s minds that he at least contemplated leaving FSU for their biggest rival. How should they feel about that?

So hopefully it is a positive no matter how it ends up.

Still waiting for the inevitable press release from him saying, although I am flattered at the interest, I'm excited about the future of the program here, and will remain here at FSU, and hopefully I will be joined here by "__(insert recruit name)__" as well as I look forward to many more 3-loss championship rings.

And then, months from now, it will turn out that we never extended him an offer.

Only reason I think there is smoke to this is Mario's history with him.

My guy says he is leaning toward accepting. Remember this is from Coley's side (possible agenda) so TIFWIW.
