Did anyone even end up in the hospital. .. **** cause to kick a guy out of school for a fight is pretty harsh mane... no weapons.. really??? Smh
A fight would get you kicked out of even a private high school like Gulliver or Ransom Everglades. It would also get you kicked out of an top-level school like MIT or an Ivy. Life on a college campus is lived on a much higher level than life on the street. Attending a good college is not a right; it is an honor and a privilege. Students worked hard to get in, excelling in high school and doing well on admissions tests. If you mess up academically or break the rules, you're out.
So who is the kid that got hit?

Once again if this were true the other kid would not have been able to graduate a fight is between two people just because you get your *** kicked dosent mean you should get better treatment because your a ****
No matter how many times you ******s try to justify this on the board, it still doesn't matter. The penalty is bull****, waiting until football season to penalize him was bull****, waiting until the other student graduated and left is bull****. Hurting someone's pro prospects when the confrontation was not even enough to press charges is bull****. Any student that is disciplining another student is bull****. The U is a football school and suntan U. they currently suck at football. You aren't in the Ivy league, and no one is impressed outside of your little club that you are trying to adhere to some standard that is a total ****ing charade.
I hope this kid transfers, becomes a pro bowler and builds rutgers an indoor practice facility.

apparently this was an appeals decision according to Reynolds. why don't u follow some of the actual beat writers instead of posters on here? they had a decision made earlier and it was obviously appealed by AQM and this was the final decision.
Word is that AQM's f.agg.ot roommate was dangling his kid over the balcony like Michael Jackson did with Blanket. Instead of giving AQM plaudits as the hero he is for rescuing that poor helpless child and subduing the savage who was threatening his life, this lynch mob rat squad full of puny nerds kicked him to the curb like a sack of garbage. This is downright disgusting and anti-American is you ask me.
In a sad twist of fate it was Adewale Ojomo, who came back to finish up some credit hours, and got punched in the face again. So who is the kid that got hit?

It is getting clearer as the facts come out.
u guys have to remember: ITS A SCHOOL not a PRO FOOTBALL TEAM. the school has to go about by protecting its students not just the football players. I don't like the AQM situation either but u guys want the school to break its rules bc its an athlete. also, if hes getting suspended for a semester, its not just a broken nose. he may have beat the **** out of the kid if the school believes this is the right call
If that is all that AQM did, I doubt that he would have been suspended. I have heard it said that AQM "beat the *** out of him...." So accounts vary. A couple of problems we have here are that much of what we hear is slanted one way or the other, and another is that people believe what they prefer to believe.
Don't word smith. He kicked another grown mans *** for slamming a door into his child.
Assume that the average kid on the student council has an IQ twenty to thirty points higher than yours and is MUCH less biased on this issue. Both probably correct, although I really can't be certain about the relative IQs. Then add the fact that they listened to testimony from both kids and from witnesses and that they are more familiar than you are with the student code of conduct and with general standards of life on campus. Then admit to yourself that much of your picture of what happened involves a large measure of reliance on hearsay supplemented by your own imagination.
The pomposity that inspired a post like this will not serve you well in life. People will avoid you if you have an attitude like this in real life. Humility is a virtue: try it.
outside of the IQ comments, which isn't necessary, he is correct in that the people actually involved know more about the situation than u, me, or anyone else. they did hear both sides of the story twice since this decision was his appeals result.
A fight will get you kicked out of an elite private high school?

Is AQM not a student? Does he give up the right to protect his child on campus?
Kicking him out of school was wrong. Period.
No prosecutor in the country would charge him. And no one did.
There were different stories from various witnesses. My last year there was 2003. What is the burden of proof now?
Lot of misinformation here. This would have been a major disciplinary hearing, which is heard by 3 people: a student (one of maybe like 10-12 Seniors that are trained to hear major cases), a faculty member, and a Dean. Simple majority vote (based on preponderance of evidence) to make a ruling. If it's appealed, it's heard by Pat Whitely (VP of Student Affairs) and her alone.
This Herrera kid could very well be one of the kids who hears these cases, but he's not the only one, and his vote alone doesn't make the decision.
