Anyone watching STA play?

I didn't watch the game.
How would yall compare STA to that Milton team we just played?

I hear that STA is down, but I've heard that before.

I Should have known when they took a Mca transfer underclassmen defender and he looked to be one of their better defenders all game

Bosco size wise was good but they werent even impressive. I think chaminade and a few others sfla teams would have feared better.

Sta coaching on both sides always leaves alot to be desired. Bosco may have ran 3 plays all game and they made no adjustment.

Sta offense is always bland, im not sure why kids with offers on o transfer there

@gogeta4 I didn’t get a chance to check out the game. What’s your take on Rick Ross’ son? G5 or P5?

There isnt much s.fla teams with two 230plus pound backers like Bosco...and legit size dl.
Sta line is still big for s.fla level play..so they will be able to move our smaller size dl the unit just doesnt have power 5 talent they usually do..maybe g5 guys though.


Madison and Chance are real good at wr...they dont have what they usually do behind those 2. The other wrs looked "regular". This is what happens when Ah takes the 4 top underclassmen wrs and chaminade gets the rest lol.

Jordan Lyle is the best back in south florida to me...so yea.

Him and Stacey Gage are a big time duo.

Bosco got them behind chains on first downs.

This qb they have isnt a downfield threat passing imo.

Like others have stated i would take my chances on crowding the box...and forcing him to throw. If STA gets the run game going with Lyle and Gage they would control the games.

They must run a lot of 20 personnel then. (they always have though)

They are down. They had huge losses at OL and last year's QB is better than this year's QB. They also lost three members of their secondary to P5 schools. You know your job and your personnel at Western better than I do, but I would focus on stopping the run and make that QB beat me.

A friend who was at the game told me that he doesn't see a Bosa or Sapp in that program at this point. He said they have good high school players but they no longer have elite D1 talent.

Edit: Lyles and Chance are big time talents who should be very good college football players, but they aren't Bosa level players.

Sounds like Mack is a good one? OJ seemed to have started rough but bounced back. Anyone got highlights from the game?

Rewatched after working this weekend:
- He might not be the fastest guy but I’m buying James Madison stock. Seems like he’ll be a nice RZ target in a few years.
- Chance didn’t get too many opportunities but he looks very solid. That double move was nasty.
- I see why #5 from STA has offers from us, OSU, and some others. He was everywhere.
- #6 the corner that we got.. Like him as a prospect got beat but bounced back. Came into STA in the summer and is already the primary return man so that’s impressive. Broke a long return that 9/10 against other teams he would score.
- Mack was a great eval.. Get him on the weights and he’ll be a solid player in the nickel/field corner.
- Lyles reminds me of Parish, solid back that will have a solid career. Gage is meh
- young WR from Bosch that high pointed that ball on #6.. We need to get on him
- Considering the QBs they usually have this Bosco QB was solid
- SJB was the better coached team easily

This.

They had a starter on defense that i know would only play in blow outs for sta typically.

Our Mca transfer their who is an underclassmen looks like one of their better players on defense along with Rodriguez the lb who is a player.

None of the DL really flashed...BUT.....BOSCO likely has the biggest OL they will face this szn.
STA still had two 280+ DT'S

I believe that kid was playing (think his #42) because their starting MLB that transferred in from AH was out with a Hamstring injury.
