Anyone Got Some Class Predictions?

1. Keith Bryant
2. Jaynard Bostwick
3. Jamal Carter
4. Artie Burns
5. Ray Lewis III
6. Kevin Olsen
7. Alex Gall
8. Jeremy Kerr
9. Standish Dobard
10. Travis Johnson
11. Angelo Jean Louis
12. Matthew Thomas
13. Denver Kirkland
14. Tim Williams
15. Jermaine Grace
16. Alex Collins/Derrick Green

I feel pretty good about those 15. I think the last 3-5 spots are up in the air. My guess:

17. Michael Parker (attitude issues are a concern)
18. Stacy Coley (ditto)
19. Quay Bain (we can use him at OL or DL)
20. JUCO
21. JUCO

You forgot Grace, which makes 16.

I think the last 2-3 spots would then go to a JUCO TE (Sandland, Vandenburg), JUCO DL/LB if we get lucky (Hooks, Bond), and perhaps a WR (Coley, ?)

D'oh!

Bad oversight.

I'll add him.

19. Beau Sandland (If he will commit)

If we get Beau Sandland, I expect 2 kids to be cut from TE (Perry and White). I could also see about 3-4 other kids leaving the program.

The thing I like about that class is the number of players that are known to be studs (as known as can be expected when dealing with the uncertainty of recruiting).

There really aren't any reaches, or under-the-radar head-scratchers where we just have to trust the camp evals.

These guys are ballers. They're athletic AND productive.

If Perry and White have their degrees, I'd say they're definitely done.

Dye could be asked to move on as well if he's got his degree.

David Perry is a 2010 kid, I doubt he has his degree in 3 years.

Corey White is a 2009 kid, while he should have a degree, he has hardly played. I would at the very least put him on the PUP list.

Dyron Dye is a 2009 kid and could have his degree.

As for kids transferring (on their own)

I could see one QB, Eduardo Clements (there is talk), one WR, one DB and one DL as well.

That class would be a home run. What caught my attention is that Golden said 15-16 yesterday. Wonder if he didn't include the JUCOs.

I'm really hoping for a couple of JUCO DL to add to a rotation. Keep guys fresh and coming at you in waves, just like the old days. Some plug n play, ready to go types of kids on the DL wouldn't hurt. I wonder, though, in preparation for possible scholarship reductions by Golden, how are JUCO players viewed? It it a negative that they only have two years coming in?

This is the first I'm hearing of Clements leaving talk.

Don't count out White. IIRC, he's out for the year with an injury but he looked good this past offseason as a big blocking TE with a capability to catch a few balls. Dye has occupied that blocking TE spot this year but he is a non-factor in the passing game and teams don't really have to account for him. He's also dropped some easy catches. White - who played OL here for a while - may be able to fill that spot next year but perhaps be more of a pass-catching threat than Dye was.

Edit: I've seen this kid on a few occasions and he's a specimen. (No homo.) Tall, big, and lean. Actually reminds me of Chris Myers. He shed a lot of the bad weight he put on trying to transition from TE to OL. A Shannon mistake.

I hope you're right and that I'm proved wrong, but this kid has now been on the team for 5 ******* years and has not done a thing since being here. At the momement, I do not want him back for a 6th year.
