Anyone catch Feldman this morning?

He's talking out of his *** when referencing PSU. It's going to be nowhere near what PSU got.
 
Considering that the NCAA is all over the place and there doesn't appear to be any guidelines for punishment, Feldman's opinion on possible sanctions is not any more well-informed than DBCs.
 
I still think we are getting 3 year bowl ban and 5 scholarships per year for 3 or 4 years. Hope I am wrong and it is 2 bowls and 3 scholly's per year for 3.

I've said all along on other Canes sites that your latter scenario is my prediction. They just can't prove every accusation that Shapiro gave to Chuckie Robinson. Too many loose ends, too circumstantial. But--this has been big enough in the media and they will be able to prove enough that the 2 bowls (last year and this year's) and 3-5 schollys for 3 years tops are what we get. Also keep in mind how forthcoming we've been with stuff we've been able to find ourselves, and how we've suspended or even booted players for even possible infractions.

If we get worse, we should pull together a mob with pitchforks and torches, and go burn the NCAA's compliance offices to the ground.
 
Miami should get credit for time served. One could argue that Miami self-imposed penalties by hiring Coker and Shannon...
 
If we get hammered good luck to the NCAA, they will have a hard time finding schools that will cooperate with them like we have.
 
2 year bowl ban 31 scholarships for 3 years same as USC...Reggie Bush got more then all the UM players combined...so did OJ Mayo

If the NCAA hits us with anything approaching PSU, then it might as well forget about cooperation from any program going forward. What's the point? Miami has been more cooperative than USC or OSU - and it's not even close.

In all reality, last year was a year of sanctions.

2 year bowl ban, 5 scholarships a year for 3 years.

This is what I'm thinking, they can't hammer us after cooperating. Then again, their punishments are so selective, it's hard to predict.

Honestly I don't believe the NCAA believes we are cooperating with them, or why else would they take so long to reach a decision. My Thoughts are a 2 year bowl ban (credit for 1 already served). I think we lose 10 scholarships a year for 3 years. It wouldn't shock me if we got less or a lot worse either.

IIRC, 2 of the investigators assigned to the case at one point left the job.

If the NCAA is going to let the UNC thing, which is huge, get swept under the rug then they really need to go easy on us.


We basically have time served. UNC and OSU had worse violations and got the wrist slap. We cooperate. Our suspensions, which were levied by the NCAA, were minimal. We were ranked very high in the APR, which should mean something. And we have a guy in Golden who is respected and expected to keep us clean.


All that should add up to somewhere in the ballpark of what UNC or OSU got IMO. Should actually be less but we're Miami. If I'm Al Golden I try to get to speak to Emmert and the comittee and plead my case for the future. Emmert himself has said he wants it to be more about punishing the coaches and admins rather than future kids who werent even involved.

we should get what OSU got. we probably get in between OSU and UNC.

there is no ******* way we get a 3 year bowl ban. i doubt that we get a 2 year ban and doubt that we will self impose this year. a decent bowl game WIN would be very big for this program right now.
