Anyone catch Feldman this morning?

Only caught the tail end of it as I was coming out of a meeting but, Mike Bianchi had him on his Orlando radio show this morning talking about his recent rehash article.

Seems convinced that Miami will get slapped with LOIC, and that the fault lies directly with University higher ups who were obsessed with the amount of money they could potentially get out of Shapiro due to the programs lack of deep pocketed boosters. Despite persistent warnings from Shannon and others on coaching staffs.

Expects UM to self impose another bowl ban this year and expects that NCAA will add another year to that in addition to scholarship losses. Actually used PSU as reference point!!

Constantly referenced the Yahoo articles. Apparently taking everything at face value, despite acknowledging that Shapiro was a rogue booster, who's ****ed and has a serious axe to grind.

Finished up with Bianchi taking a not so veiled shot at the program and asking would it ever come back to elite status with everything working against us including our lack of fan support and competing against UF, FSU, and yes even UCF(?!? Really?!?). Responded by saying its all about the coaching in Miami and the fertile recruiting ground it sits on. Seem pretty convinced that Al Golden is that coach.

Just thought I'd share. Not sure if anyone caught the earlier part of the interview.

To mention PSU and Miami in the same sentence when talking about sanctions is a misguided statement. He lost all credibility right there.

I like Bruce, but he works for CBS now. He was booted by ESPN because he went against the grain and did the Mike Leach book w/o kow-towing to their requests for him not to since Craig James was in their employ as a face on the network.

With CBS, it's all about the SEC. They "cover" the other schools in America, but if implicating Miami and not digging further into the Yahoo story doesn't hurt an SEC school (and in fact, probably helps...attempts to take out Miami as another recruiting competitor)...then they won't cover it fairly--and they definitely won't try to paint Miami in a good light regarding relationships w/Shapiro.

To boot--Bruce may be a Miami alum, but he got outed by another sports outfit for not doing as he was told...and he's a smart enough guy to not let that happen again, so he'll cover this the way CBS wants it covered.

I have never seen a school to where some of its graduates will write articles or even contribute to trying to tearing down the school or program.
Lebatard, Feldman, Shapiro's lawyer, Susan Miller D, etc...

Seems like their attempt to show they are not biased by going against the program when they can. Actually hurts one's credibility IMO when you go that route. Be fair or admit you have a favoritism.....like Peter Gammons, never really hid he is a Red Sox homer, but at least you knew it and could judge him on his other merits one way or another.

So wait. The higher ups are going to be held responsible when a.) They hired a PI to investigate him and couldn't find dirt and b.) He says it's not the coaches fault, besides the whole check with a coaches name on it?

What is UM supposed to do? Water-board and truth serum every donor, just in case?

I was wondering aloud the other day on why this university has the unique ability to alienate its alumni, especially those with the ability to help or hurt its public image. LeBatard, Feldman, even Corbin, who basically directed a love letter to the University and it's football program only for UM to go out of it's way to not so much as acknowledge it.

It's mind boggling.

ask Manny Navarro how hard he thinks the penalties will be and he'll probably give a similar answer to Feldman. They aren't the only ones who feel that way - its not out of spite. Plenty of people truly feel that there will be some hard penalties, a lot harder than people on this site seem to think. Personally, I am ready for anything. After that UNC no infractions conclusion nothing would surprise me - from skating to **** raining down on us with Penn State folk feeling sorry for us. NCAA is inconsistent at best when it comes to penalties so who knows.

The NCAA has its sacred cows and that all there is to it. It took covering for a serial pedophile, and the overwhelming public outcry, for them to come down on PSU. But 10yrs of academic fraud at UNC?!? Ehh...Not their problem. A litany of evidence against Bama of multiple cases of improper benefits and the NCAA is nowhere to be found....

But have a known liar and cheat buy a few dinners and drinks and give a few boat rides and the NCAA wants to put us into the PSU hierarchy??

It is better for these reporters to over penalize in their reports then under. It gives them an "out" if the NCAA comes back with something light. They can act surprised an write the "feel good" story everyone want to read.

If the NCAA decides that they also will take the allegations at face value, Feldman is dead. However, every indication the NCAA has given Miami is that they will not levy punishments for anything that cannot be corroberated. That's been said at least a few times to officials willing to go on record. So, either they are full of **** or the NCAA will stick what it has hard evidence on, which isn't much at this point

3 year bowl ban? Get da fugg outta here.

We're going to get hammered.

They're taking their sweet time and are going to blast us in the ***.

They're taking their time because it is probably **** near impossible to sort out fact from fiction with everything that Shapiro has put on the table. That article in itself is proof of nothing so the question is are the "sources" speaking to the NCAA, and can their claims be verified in order to levy punishment.

We will get sanctions but Feldman's article was non specific generalized crap. Its piling on and wasnt necessary. To imply that the media even cares about bias nowadays when CBS NBC MSNBC and ABC have the same exact wording being used on simultaneous newscasts is a joke.
Sean Allen said point blank he was not a bag man and didnt pay players outright to come to the U. To mention 200000 dollars and not break it down into how much was actually filtered to players is bad reporting. Bianchi is a nole fan and has a vested interest in keeping the U down. Its much ado about nothing

Mike Bianchi is a graduate of the University of Florida as you can tell by his self righteous indignation when it comes to his takes on sports.

He claims to be unbiased and a fan of no one, but he's got a real hard on for a few teams. One of them being UM.
