Anthony McFarland, Jr.

Curtis Justis broke his ankle his senior year of HS, and we took him. He had a great recovery and wasn't a waste of space at all.

Duke Johnson broke the UM rushing record coming off a broken ankle.

Yep, I'd still take McFarland.

What you talking about Willis.....

broken ankle is nothing. hopefully bama does cool on him because of it. still easily a take and anybody who says otherwise never broke an ankle or is a ******* moron.

Didn't Yearby break his ankle before the state championship game or am I remembering that incorrectly?

Duke and Yearby both played fine after broken ankles.

IMO you still go after this kid hard, showing loyalty when other programs like Bama will start to slow play him(but I'm sure Maryland will still have him at the very top of their board regardless of position and play the loyalty card heavy as well).

The only thing that scares me is that Burns also has injury issues, and bringing in 2 RBs that are injury prone in the same class could hurt us down the road.

Need to land a stud at RB in 2018.

Willis tore his ACL his senior year of highschool and went on to become a heisman finalist...

LOL at people saying they wouldn't take him because he broke his ankle. GTFO. You still take this kid in a second.

Re-read what I said...never said the staff won't take him, I said I personally don't think it's a good idea to take 2 backs, 1 coming off injury, and the other having a recurring history of injuries. When 2018 season hits you have Travis homer (JR), 2(possibly) injury prone RB's, and 1-2 FR backs. We saw how much UGA was hurt last year with an injury to their starting back, why set ourselves up for a possible depth issues caused by injury and NOT recruiting? Always gotta think ahead. Only thing that will make this ok, is Walton staying for his SR year, which shouldn't be happening because we want him to be great and leave early.

Yearby wasn't the only back recruited that year. I'm not saying we shouldn't recruit him, I'm saying we should have a 3rd back, or NOT recruit 2 injured backs and hope they return to form.

Burns isn't hurt. He's healthy and will prove all the haters like you wrong this year

I'm not a hater, I love that Miami is still on Burns and I can't wait to see him play a full year. At the same time, I'm not going to count him in as capable of playing a full year until he actually does it. Look at my avatar. I can't count how many times on my fingers Duke Johnson was taken out the game in high school due to injuries, but I'll be damned if someone said he was soft or doesn't deserve a scholarship because of it. Doesn't mean you recruit him and say he's our future with no backup plan, then his injuries hold him out for half a year and you have to play Dallas Crawford for 4 games.
