Andrew chatfield offered by UF

I think it's a mistake to not offer him. I feel like when chatfield commits to uf he's going to try and flip silvera to uf

He tried to flip Silvera to tOSU too. How did that work out?

tOSU just dropped him. How long before UF drops him too?

UF not dropping him. You know how much of a star wh*re they are. He'd have to drop to a 3 star. Gator loving making their class look pretty until you take a real hard look and see their class is made up with people who don't got the grade, bad characters, 4 Star who done nothing but bomb all the camps and workouts.

If we want Chatfield I feel we can have him but the question is does Kool want him? As of right now it a no.

Exactly. Kool's been sending linemen into the 1st round for the last decade. He just took an unknown 2-star and got him drafted in the 1st round.

Rosseau didn't do any better at the paradise camp

Because he's raw. But you're banking on Kool molding the raw athleticism into something. Chatfield doesn't have the positential to be anything. You can't mold nothing into something. The building blocks have to be there.

Disagree i think chatfield is a better pass rusher than both Trent Harris and mike smith coming out of highschool. Smith converted into a linebacker and is starting to look good at it. Why can't chatfield?

Why do you think Chatfield can play LB?

The size 6'2 220 and he can play as a sam linebacker/ rush end. Trent Harris was about the same size coming out and they tested in the same type of times. I feel like he has a higher ceiling than mike smith too but oh well

Wrong. Just because someone is undersized doesn't mean they're the next Elvis Dumervil. Trent Harris is a different player than Chatfield and even a different type of athlete than Chatfield even though they test similar. He simply doesn't fit what we want to do here, they were looking at him in that Viper role and they watched him...numerous times and decided that Greg Rousseau is the perfect fit for what they wanted and they went and got him.

Sitting here reading these last few pages laughing my a$$ off.

What in the name of the good Lord above gives any of you fools the right to question a coach that has molded, tutored, and sent numerous kids to the NFL about any kid non the less a kid that has shown he gets eaten up in every camp he's been to.

The fact that you even have the gall to question the mans evaluation skills is fcking comical.

Go back to your day jobs asking people " do you want fries with that" and leave the football evaluations to the guys that actually know what the fck they are doing....

Its not about size. Chatfield isnt good in space and has a small frame. The staff loves trent harris. So if they thought he could be that or better they would have offered.

I agree with that too. I think we should have but oh well. We will see how this goes

Brock, do you think Miami should offer Chatfield?

osu offered chatfield hoping to bring in nesta and tyson. neither bit so they cut chatfield loose. Now UF is going to do the same thing. If Meyer couldn't do it, I doubt UF will succeed.

Mceltoof and Rammy Shammin are likely to accept his commitment outright. They're recruiting several steps behind the other programs in the running for Nesta and Ty. Color me unimpressed they landed a coked-up QB from Calipornia.

And on top of everything else ITT, you'd have to imagine dudes like nesta and Campbell can see clear as day that these dirtball schools are trying to use their friend as leverage. If anything you would have to think that'd be counterproductive

^^^This. These kids might have to understand that the opportunities they get will be based on talent and fit in a particular school's system. That's great that they're friends but not everyone is made to be a true 4/5 star player and play at big time schools like Miami. And if you think that we should offer a kid that has been passed on by an LSU program who's highlight has been coming within win against Bama for the SEC WEST, or O$U who's "full of first rounders" but gets a$$ blasted 31-0 in the CFP, you're ******* looney.

We all say that we want to get back to National Prominence and Recreate the 2001 team and blah blah blah. Let's not forget that Sean Taylor, Vince Wilfork, Willis McGahee, etc. were all backups on that team. Can't be playing that soft a$$ approach of offering kids who won't do **** in our system. Especially when that "package deal" crap hasn't worked for LSU and O$U.

So Kool should offer a guy nobody on the staff, including himself, wants because some twink from Atlanta thinks it's a good idea.

Sounds legit.

.
some times you do stuff tactically. RS Bulk him up move him inside than you create the AH pipeline and cut the turds throats. Coach done proved if you cant contribute you will be asked to leave. My guess it will not matter if you are 5 star or you have 0 stars. Depth at DT is a must

I think it's a mistake to not offer him. Kid does extremely well against south Florida completion. Well respected, highly recruited with big time offers. All the major sites have him as a 4 star prospect, top 20 at his position. 6"2 maybe 6"3 can probably get his weight to 245. Having him on board will not hurt and if Ohio state, LSU, Florida coaches think that he can play there, he can play here.

Great recruiting strategy, especially because 2 of those 3 are no longer recruiting him.

None of those schools want him.

Yeah you're right. That's why they sent him his official offer. Fact is that come signing day he will be signing with a major power 5 school. Why shouldn't it be Miami. He's productive, Adds depth, it's not like he can't play ball here. This isn't a package situation. The kid can play.
