Anybody who watches the show or follows my posts on here knows where I stand. We need a Portal QB badly unless we plan on starting Nickel.

The first portal window has just passed, the coaches knew what they had in Emory hence why they basically didn’t let him pass the ball tonight.

They knew we needed one portal QB and many good options came and passed. This is malpractice and now we have to hope someone else good jump in the portal.

1. Honestly, does it matter who we get at QB? We don’t have the staff that is savvy enough to build a complete team. We have a guy in an OC who has good plays, but doesn’t know when to use them with rhyme or reason, a DC that’s horribly mid… and a HC that speaks like Tarzan and coaches like Jane.

2. We can bring in Brady and Mahomes as the backup and we’d see the same results as this…I’m not hopeful about the future with this regime.

In this era of nil where “recruiters” have been neutralized by big money, we need our guys to be ready to spend spend spend or we will lose lose lose…the top teams are bringing in multiple top portal guys and letting them battle it out. We have Emory and a senior in high school as our two guys right now. Future is bleak.

And we haven’t even mentioned our other major problem which is that we need around 7 starters on defense. Mario is done here. I am also in the camp that says that if Mario can’t do it here, no one can…

Bottom line is enjoy the bumpy ride and accepting 9-3 8-4 7-5 as good seasons or pick a new hobby…

Anyone who thinks Emory Williams is a starting material doesn’t have a clue about football.

He’s not even a serviceable backup as demonstrated tonight.

We won’t win 5 games with him at QB.

He needs to be given his walking papers and we need to get two portal QB to compete for the job, since there are no bonafide starters in the portal.

Hopefully, one of the two is serviceable.

We are so screwed next year.
This program can not recruit and develop high school quarterbacks and it’s going to bite us next year.

This is exactly what I was talking about in the Mendoza thread. People took posts like this one to mean something you might not have intended. In this case they thought it meant Emory was better than he he actually is.

You knew that Emory/Poff weren't pushing anyone. And look at the backlash it created by leaving that door open.

It's really confusing to me. The word is Emory looked great in practice. Perhaps because our secondary is terrible. The LSU WR committed to Miami after watching Emory throw.

Why they kept the training wheels on is beyond me. He's been in Dawson offense for 2 years. They needed a better game plan for Emory regardless. They did the same game plan as the Clemson game. That shouldn't be the case in year 2.

Based on what they did in the bowl game; I would expect a portal QB to come in and compete.

All I'm saying is that you're literally the boss. Let guys lower on the totem poll like @Trinton Breeze post stuff like that.

You guys are going after the wrong person here. News flash - D doesn’t recruit, develop, or determine the depth chart. Further, he isn’t deciding who coaches or who is fired. Try to appreciate what he and this site brings.

Take it out on the right people: Miami administration and boosters that brought the biggest fraud in the history of our program; and then decided to marry us to him with a 10 year contract. Absolutely ridiculous a program like this constantly stabs itself in the back. It’s almost like the destruction was planned, because it’s hard to **** up this bad.
