**** Mario’s seat better already be warm. Have a season like that and fail to make the playoffs then fall behind on recruiting also… nah it’s warm right now after that chit show

D please tell me the coaches don’t think he can be the guy next year. He looked really slow with his reads and can barely move. D coordinators will destroy him. I think Nickel beats him out but we need a bridge year guy. He can not be the starter here.

I never said that or anything close. That was a direct quote from Mario. They aren’t in the same universe as Cam and never were.

I think some of it is just coach speak. I give it to you like I get it but my consistent position has been that we bring in a Portal QB.

"Both Emory [Williams] and Reese [Poffenbarger] have really done a good job of staying on the heels of Cam [Ward]. Cam is obviously taking the ones reps and he deserves it. He's earned that and then both Emory and Reese are right after that."

"Staying on the heels" implies they're actually pushing Cam and performing somewhat respectably and are adequate backups.

Emory is:
Slow processor
Inaccurate
Bad/slow mechanics
Unaware/uncomfortable in the pocket

If he started for us, he'd end up in the Kirby Freeman category probably.

That’s a quote from Cristobal. Everything else in that story is my opinion.

Anybody who watches the show or follows my posts on here knows where I stand. We need a Portal QB badly unless we plan on starting Nickel.

The Dorsey argument that people are making is not apples to apples. Offenses were different 20 years ago when Dorsey was taking most of his snaps from under center.

Like you said, coaches love the steady, mature QBs. Every coach has guys they refuse to bench. And my concern is that Emory is going to end up being the guy the coaches won't give up on because they love the intangibles.

Tbh, I hope Emory doesn't red shirt this year. Otherwise, we could be stuck with him until 2028.
