Am I wrong in thinking, with the JUCO's that UM is tailing..

Not a big believer in relying on Juco's but we had the worse DT play last year that I can ever remember seeing in the half a century I've been watching the Canes

The great Bill Snyder disagrees. That dude is the absolute master of bolstering his roster with quality JUCOs.

He's been doing it for a long time as well. It's tough to build an entire program around JUCO's but it can give a program the needed boost to make it the next level when you have wholes in the roster.

I never suggested that we should build an entire program around JUCO players. However, it's a great idea to add a few when you're overloaded with youth on the DL like we are.

I didn't think you did suggest that, Snyder is a crafty dude and underrated coach IMO.

IMO, Snyder realizes he's in 'the Lil' Apple' and does this out of necessity. But a program like Miami, with its geography and tradition, doesn't have to go this route. But look at UM's past, from Eddie Brown on, JUCO guys have played important roles on some great title teams

When you have as many holes as Golden inherited on this roster, going this route was something he absolutely had to do.

Regardless, I think the future is bright for the UM program with this guy in charge....
