Alright guys...we're going to have a little Miami Hurricanes draft...the best of the best, all-time are available.

A group of six have been invited to participate and we hope this will take a up a few weeks so we can get a lot of debate and chatter about some old school 'Canes to fill up some time between now and the start of fall football. So, don't be shy, voice your opinions and share old stores.

Without further adieu, the panel that has been selected and agreed to join this thing are the following in draft order...

Teams will have the ability to be flexible and make any style of team they want.

After the draft is over in a few weeks, we're going to let the community decide who the best of the best truly is in a little tournament.

This thing will start Monday, June 18th at NOON. The participants will be able to make picks earlier if they wish, but the clock doesn't start until tomorrow at NOON. Everyone is in contact personally, so, there won't be any lull in picks in this draft...we're hoping to get two rounds done per day at minimum and you'll be able to find all of the picks and analysis on the first page in an article that will be published every night!

I hope this doesnt become another moronic Alltime Cane competition that gives short shrift to any one Who played before 1995.

The younguns are mighty ignorant of Cane history and choose glitz over accomplishments on the field.

No surprise to see a QB come off the board first, but I decided to go a bit against the grain and pick Jim Kelly.

He doesn't have a Heisman like Torretta and Testaverde, and his Miami career was not as illustrious as Walsh, Dorsey or Kosar. But for toughness, football IQ and pure throwing talent, no UM signal-caller can match the Hall of Famer.

Larry, I think you have a mock draft addiction problem, but this is a cool idea(for you ****ers anyway)

This is why this draft will be fun and spark a lot of debate...Kelly might be the most talented Miami QB, but didn't have a MIAMI career that can compare with a few other QBs while at Miami, but had, without question, the best PRO career out of any Miami QB.
