Reality starting to set in...
They was trying to bring in 2 WR even when Horton was here thoisnt horton gone (it sounds like CJ Daniels took his spot)
Sources tell 247Sports that Oklahoma is hoping to have John Mateer in for a visit in the near future. The Sooners have natural connections with Mateer, including his offensive coordinator (Ben Arbuckle) and quarterbacks coach (John Kuceyeski) from the past two seasons at Washington State. Other teams, like Miami, are aggressively looking to get in the mix with Mateer.

haha I'm not certain you could have picked a better nameHearing that John Mateer just followed Realus George on Instagram…
Money probably isn't the main motivator. Self-preservation on the other hand...
This is the realus thing posted today.
Only partial reality. He still tries to imply that Oklahoma has all the advantages except how much Miami might offer in NIL.. ignoring things like exponentially better OL, proven concept on offense, better skill positions surrounding the QB at Miami
Yes within the ****** QB room we have. If we aren’t getting mateer or a reasonable upgrade, I’d go with nickel and let him take his lumps if the choice is between him and those other two.
I don’t trust anyone who’s not in dark mode
I’m just waiting for OU 247 to post that Mateer forgot about his homecoming game so he didn’t make the tripSources tell 247Sports that Oklahoma is hoping to have John Mateer in for a visit in the near future. "i have no idea" guess why
Live look at venables right now.Venerables can’t get offensive lineman at OU. Think about that lol. Mateer will take years off his career there
I'm not sure about the whole concept of aiming for the players who want to be in Norman. Is there anyone outside of Oklahoma who grows up dreaming to play for Oklahoma? You gotta love this guy's heart...
1. "Their very best NIL offer in his hands today"...hilarious...our best offer has already been conveyed to Mateer, and it beats theirs.
2. "The OC and QB Coach who have developed him". The QB coach was in Pullman for 10 months. The OC didn't keep Cam Ward from choosing Miami.
3. "Committed to re-vamping our offense". Good luck with that. You just signed a WR from Arkansas-Pine Bluff and your whole board is celebrating like you just won the Kentucky Derby.
4. "His family can see him in-person often". Yeah, he just FLEW from Dallas to Oklahoma City. Dallas is a major hub that has PLENTY of flights to Miami as well.

I haven’t seen Emory in a game in like a year. When you said Emory could leave, my feeling is let him go then but I’d let them compete for the job if Emory is here. I’d favor going with Nickel between the two but I wouldn’t be shocked who they would go with.I respect your opinion @RVACane.
Legit question: when’s the last time you saw Emory in action? Because we just saw Nickel slice apart a decent team in the GA HS playoffs so he looks really good. But a year ago he didn’t look nearly this sharp. He’s developing. I assume so is Emory but I don’t know because I haven’t had the chance to see him play legit snaps for over a year.
I believe Dawson can develop Emory to be a quality QB2. But if he can’t, better to have him get beaten in a battle v Nickel than gift Nickel the 2 spot.
