Alin Edouard got his offer

Just want to start off saying that I dont watch film of recruits and I don't know if this kid is a athlete who happens to be able to throw or is an athletic QB. But, the possibility of having a spead/ dual threat QB isn't exciting to me. UM has always ran a pro style offense, regardless of the HC/ OC. I hope we aren't getting away from that. I would rather get another Kevin Olsen type QB, pocket passer.

With all that being said... In Golden I Trust.

Kaepernick, RGIII and Cam Newton chuckle at your notions of what a "pro style" offense is

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Now..... don't be one of those kids who acts like he's all Cane and then drags it out for months. Commit, rally the troops, and be part of the foundation.

Edit: Sorry TaylorCane, I posted before I read your's.... we're thinking the same thing.
No need to apologize. ****, Ima say the same thing.

Rally the troops!!!

Said it before: any concrete ideas I had about what kind of quarterback we want have gone out the window in the past year. You can win with a dropback, "Pro Style" guy (McCarron, Flacco)...or you can win with a "dual threat" guy (Kaepernick, Newton). The only concrete absolute is that you have to have a badass defense and a QB that can get it done when the chips are down.

What really is the "NFL Pro Style" because, if you ask me, pro style and spread are kind of fusing into each other in the NFL.

^^
This.

5 years ago the conversation was based around spread QB's having no future in the NFL. And happily we were right as it applied to Teabag. But since then the NFL has started to change with more spread being added to offenses. Not to mention guys like RG3, Kaepernick and the like.

I've been saying I wanted to see Edouard get offered. Now that he has, I'm confident he'll get on board soon and start recruiting other guys to join him at The U.

This 2014 class is about to be f***ing EPIC!!!!!!

We have the players that make more sense in a spread but what i don't want is a read-option offense i mean i never want to see that play ever but other then that whether in the shotgun or under center that's coaching, get him ready for both andmake in diverse so teams cant just prepare easily for our offense.

According to the new article on CS he said he's going to "Wait a few months." I thought he would commit immediately but alas, it's recruiting. He also said there is a 90% chance he will be a Cane...where the **** do kids get these numbers from?? Hope it's sooner than later...start getting the other SoFl studs to the U!

kids never stick to their word these days..

Allen Edward will probably commit in the summer (Olsen did last year). kid probably wants to take a couple visits and why not.

QB's usually commit early.
Well, at least it's the trend nationally. Now, maybe it's different for SF. Hope not though.

One thing you have to remember about these QB's and kids that play QB like Lammons is that their coaches want schools to come around in the spring. A lot of times the head coach will tell a kid like Edouard to wait so his teammates can be seen by more people.

Wow @ the "wait a few months" approach after implying 2 days ago that he'd commit. Disappointing.
