Alex Collins finally signs with Arkansas

i think the opposite. i think the kid wants to go to UM, but, was being pushed to ark for his coach.
someone needs to step in here, like some authority, and stop this stuff from happening. coach is using the kid and mom knows.

I think Corey Long got the Arky version of the story...it has to be his crazy mom who stole the papers and drove off in Orange/Green, not that Alex might be re-thinking his decision.

Exactly. The real story is much more likely that she has the papers and told AC she wouldn't sign anything until they sit down and talk it out. AC's coach has had his say, now it's her turn. But of course it's much more dramatic to paint a visual picture of his mom running down the street with the LOI clutched in her hand as she's being chased by those who want AC in Arkansas. Clearly AC, even if he ultimately signs with Arkansas, has some serious reservations about going to Arkansas given his reactions during the announcement, the statements he previously made to RLIII that left Lewis shocked about Collins later announcement, and the rumors that Collins was sobbing in the hallways of his school.

Hopefully because she planned on the using the time after his Monday announcement to polish his **** until he agreed to stay home.

lol I wouldn't let my kid sign with Arkansas either.


If he wanted to go to Florida, as much as it would pain me, I would be forced to consent. If he wanted to go to Florida State, I would do it, despite their academics not being top-notch they are not nearly as bad as Arkansas. Even if he wanted LSU or Alabama, those places might not be very good academically for football recruits, but they are legit football factories that put kids in the NFL.

Arkansas offers nothing to a kid, and any kid that wants to go there in the face of better options has been swindled by somebody. No ******* way any responsible parent would let their kid choose Arkansas over anybody.

Same goes for WVU, assuming a kid has the grades to attend... anywhere else.

Mom needs to report his high school corch for influencing kids a certain direction. And also bring up the fact that Gatewood has a tentative job offer at Arky bcz of Collin's commitment.

I am a parent and I concur with this post.

People in Plantation have been talking about this since yesterday morning and no one can understand the decision. It makes ZERO sense if you factor out improper influences.
 
Gatewood wanted out of South Florida. Used Alex Collins to get out. Has a tentative job offer at Arkansas if Alex Collins signs with them.

The school of choice would've been Wisconsin had Bielima stayed there. But now its Arky bcuz he took that job.

I don't know about Guntwood wanting out of South Florida, but I know that a couple of Plantation people (including Guntwood) were pushing Collins to Wisconsin until Bulimia left for Arkansas.

It is clear.

Gatewood is getting a job at ARK if Alex signs. Alex has lived with him for 2 years and feels obligated to take care of the coach. Gatewood prob makes 35k and would probably get 5 times that at ARK. That scumbag is probably using his own kids to make Alex feel guilty.

Alex wants to go to Miami. His mom wants Miami. Alex is torn.
