Which is why his mom is protecting him from himself and his coach at this point. That's what ESPN and other media outlets don't understand, and why they believe his signing with Arkansas to be imminent: They view his mom as simply having a panic attack because her baby is going away. They don't understand the situation the way Canes fans who have followed his recruitment closely do: This is a kid who was recruited to a particularly awful school by his high school coach is a grossly unethical manner, a kid who has been convinced that Arkansas is the correct place for him, due in part, to academics (lol). Something is not right, and his mom is trying to make it right. Let's hope she succeeds, but she has the world against her at this point.
Mom trying to "protect" him? Doesn't he not even live with her?
Based on a quote from his brother in a Miami Herald article today, it sounds like he does, in fact, live with her. It appears that him living with Gatewood was either a temporary situation or a rumor that got out of control.
Could this be a situation where he has to "live" in the district South Plantation is in in order to go to school (read: PLAY) there? In other words, was this recruiting by Guntwood pure and simple?
This right here. [Personal opinion] Any individual whom allows himself to regress into such a slob-like state doesn't seem the likely candidate to facilitate a clean and healthy environment for himself, much less someone else's child.
Whole thing is a farce. This cat recruited Collins to his H.S. and now is whoring the kid out to his "freind". "Freind" is in quotation because [Personal opinion] Beilma doesn't give a sh@t about this slob. It's been my experience that successful, healthy people usually befreind other successful, healthy people. Beilma is using this fat, nasty *** coach and this fat, nasty *** coach is using this kid. ...and so it goes...
so it wasn't a mistake....
