Al this time last year

Wait, how do we know how much he prepares? Da ****?

You think the defense sucks because he is being lazy?

I think Al and his staff has an *** the size of Rosanne Barr covered in **** and handed a Qtip to wipe it clean,,,,lets hope a pressure washer is on its way..

Despite some game day deficiencies, Golden is meticulous.

That's like saying, "Despite killing 6 million Jews, Hilter was a great guy."

Those deficiencies are costing us games. The same problems that were there in Game 1 of Year One are there in Game 12 of Year Three. That's troubling.

Despite his historically bad defenses that he can't or won't fix, he's doing a very good job.

Some people just don't get it, man. It drives me crazy. It's like Golden has them under a spell.

So you're on record as saying that Golden will not be able to improve our defense moving forward?

No. If he gets rid of D and brings in someone to run their own scheme, there is a good chance it improves. If he doesn't, any improvement will be minimal at best unless we have 5 stars all over the field.

Give me one GOOD safety and ferocious DL and one fast LB and we win the ACC until then dec bowls

The same Scheme was used in 2011.....and no team scored more than 38 that was VT in a shoot out...over all D was 45th that year Scoring d was 17th,,,Same coaches same scheme.....what happened

Did you watch the D in 2011? It was an abortion. I don't care what the scoring defense was.

Teams moved the ball at will. Just like they did in 2012 and this year.

gamineal,

Are you serious about our D in 2011? Do you not remember Bethune Cookman running up and down the field on our defense that year? Bethune Cookman bro.

Our Defense has been Swiss Cheese since No D and Al got here. Anyone that thinks differently is really in denial.

Al: Well we have an empty stadium on gameday 50 miles off campus and it has the atmosphere of a morgue pretty much whether we win or lose.
Jimbo: We have insane fan support in our on campus insane asylum, especially when times are good.
Urban: You will be god kind in Columbus playing in front of an insane, packed on campus stadium.

Who's got the easier sales job?

That's not my issue with Golden. He can recruit. It's his coaching and preparation. It's costing us games.

We should've gone 11-1 this year with our schedule.
based on what? UF and FSU alone should not have been counted as wins.. from the get go.

No, in retrospect, looking at the teams we played and looking at our roster, the only game we should've lost was FSU. Other than that, every other game should've been a W.

Predicting a record before the season and then feeling like you have to stick with it regardless of how good or bad your opponents are in reality is fcking retarded. The Alpologists are all caught up in the "everyone thought we'd lose 3 games before the season started" line of bullshyt and never adjusted based upon how things actually played out. They also never wanted to account for us puking away the lousy *** Coastal TWICE.

Before the season, no one thought fsu was going to be as good as they turned out to be, so many thought we could beat them before the season. Fsu lost most of their defense and was breaking in a new QB that no one knew was going to win the Heisman this year. As the season progressed, most intelligent fans realized that they're better than us this year and adjusted their expectations accordingly.

Some of these dudes are lucky they didn't live in Waco when Vern Howell was up to his shenanigans because they're easily engulfed in the whirlwind of cult leader charisma.

Yeah, cause they are almost the same thing, right. SMH

It's time for some of you people to do a reality check. Step away from the computer and get some perspective.

Yup.

Take politics for example, I lean to one side of the spectrum pretty heavily, but nothing gets me angrier than when people on my side defend our leaders at every turn, even if they have erred.

Just because you support something, doesn't mean you can't acknowledge mistakes.

Yes I went to all the games,,,,,I am saying the 2011 D was still god awful but stat wise it was better I dont think we gave up 500 yards to any team...and once all the suspensions were done in the 2nd have we still lost due to horrible Offense but we held the Dukes, USF and even FSU to under 300 yards...

Things were looking good until the NFL came calling to help us out a lil bit

And 'Chise, I look forward to the wind blowing hard enough to knock you back to the happy side of your rocking horse.

Smart people adjust their thinking in the face of evolving data. I'm sorry that it bothers you that I find getting 500 hung on us every fcking week by **** teams unacceptable and that puking away the ****** Coastal twice to mediocre clubs is nothing to be happy about. I'm hoping you can past me finding those things unacceptable.

Your boy needs to make a move with his defense before next season, or he's going to lose everyone. Even the guys who stuck with C0cker and Shannvo until the bloody end eventually saw that there was a problem. He can't go into another season thinking that what he's doing with the defense is acceptable or that it's working. If he removes his best pal and hires a competent DC that he hands the keys to, then he's got a chance. If he doesn't, then he's going to lose everyone, and the thing will blow up on him. There's no way with the fans already breathing fire like they are that he can afford to go into next season with the same plan on D.

I believe we went down 14 in that game, didn't we?
The way their OL pushed us around was embarrassing. One of my best friends in a Bethune-Cookman alum. We won the game, but that guy laughed at me for weeks.

We should've blown them out like we did Savannah State this year.
