Al this time last year

Al: Well we have an empty stadium on gameday 50 miles off campus and it has the atmosphere of a morgue pretty much whether we win or lose.
Jimbo: We have insane fan support in our on campus insane asylum, especially when times are good.
Urban: You will be god kind in Columbus playing in front of an insane, packed on campus stadium.

Who's got the easier sales job?

Trick question....

That's not my issue with Golden. He can recruit. It's his coaching and preparation. It's costing us games.

We should've gone 11-1 this year with our schedule.

why stop at 11-1......We should have been 6-6...down with GT, crawled back, UNC, coaching in 2nd half won the game, wake he kept Morris and the guys calm and cool...

VT was not coaching it was turn overs and horrible tacking,

Duke and FSU we were out coached and out played...

VT was not coaching it was turn overs and horrible tacking,

And who is responsible for teaching proper tackling technique?

I rarely see Bama players or San Francisco 49er players use poor form when tackling. That's due to good coaching.

There is no rationale not to fire Coach Dorito. Any other coach would relieve him of his duties based on his body of work the last 2 years. The fact that Al hasn't fired him shows that he's loyal to a fault. With a man this loyal, who stayed through the sanctions, I don't see any reason to worry about him leaving. So I hope he becomes a hot commodity because that would mean his doing big things here in the future. Much better if he has success than to have to fire and go through rebuilding with another coach again.

Despite some game day deficiencies, Golden is meticulous.

That's like saying, "Despite killing 6 million Jews, Hilter was a great guy."

Those deficiencies are costing us games. The same problems that were there in Game 1 of Year One are there in Game 12 of Year Three. That's troubling.

First off, absurd comparison. I can be well-organized and focused but give one ****** PowerPoint presentation.

Also, your signature sucks.

First off, you don't understand the context of my signature.

Also, you didn't respond to my second point about the same problems being persistent. Likely because there is no rational excuse for it.

First off, the context of your signature is that it's inserted at the end of each of your posts. It sucks.

Secondly, I didn't address your second point because it was vague and unhelpful. What game day problems are you referencing, specifically? People gave Golden a hard time in Year 1 about clock management and time outs. I think he's improved in that regard, and I haven't heard much lip. If you're referencing our porous and unaggressive defense (which is what I was alluding to), then I don't have an argument. It's not good enough. That doesn't mean it's not fixable, and that doesn't deter me from my belief that Golden is a meticulous, process-oriented coach with remarkable focus and vision who will take us to the promised land, albeit through a bumpier route than any of us would have liked.

The terrible defensive play calling. The failure to make adjustments. The poor tackling. The uncreative blitzes.

based on what? UF and FSU alone should not have been counted as wins.. from the get go.

No, in retrospect, looking at the teams we played and looking at our roster, the only game we should've lost was FSU. Other than that, every other game should've been a W.

Despite his historically bad defenses that he can't or won't fix, he's doing a very good job.

Some people just don't get it, man. It drives me crazy. It's like Golden has them under a spell.

The Florida game is the outlier of 3 years and 35 other games. I don't know what happened that day. I wish we could tackle like that every game.

Wait, how do we know how much he prepares? Da ****?

You think the defense sucks because he is being lazy?

So you're on record as saying that Golden will not be able to improve our defense moving forward?

And 'Chise, I look forward to the wind blowing hard enough to knock you back to the happy side of your rocking horse.
