Al Golden and the Defensive Staff

2011 with the most talented team he's had Golden wins 6 games.
2012 and 2013 with comparatively less talent than 2011 they win 7 and 9 games respectively.

Some explanations.
-1st years are typically transition years for new coaches and losing is expected. Especially if a coach is taking over for a fired coach. Player attrition, quitting, not buying into the system are all typical occurrences when a coach from the outside takes over.
-The Shapiro scandal and everything it brought with it, suspensions, distractions, low player moral etc had a negative effective on results.
- Once a coach gets a feel for players and personnel and starts building his team up with his players results begin to improve as they did in years 2 and 3.

You wanted to talk about players he inherited so I brought up year 1. You then came up with a bunch of excuses. I'll except you white flag. Your excuses have nothing to with the question at hand.

So why did Golden beat BC @ BC the following year with less talent?

Now you're going in circles. Are you saying his recruiting had sucked up to that point? Either way you have failed. You failed to answer my original question and you have failed to make a point. You then proved my point of people using lack of talent as an excuse yet claim he recruited well. Keep up the good work.

You couldn't answer my question. So yeah, It is good work.. Thanks.

So Golden isn't doing a good job recruiting? You just contradicted yourself. So now golden is so poor of a recruiter that he can't amass more talent than a 2-10 bc team. Lmfao @ you. You're talking in circles cause you're full of ****.

You still can't answer the question so yo getting mad and resorting to cursing as if thats going to help you. It's not.
Let me help you out. Golden is a solid recruiter and has brought in talent. Not sure what this has to do with Miami beating BC in 2012 and why you're avoiding the question.

So now you're on record saying Golden did in fact inherit some talent? Lmao. Which is it?

...and we can elimaite your bs excuses one at a time. Starting with your first excuse. Name a game and give examples in which attrition, guys quitting or someone not buying into the system caused Miami to lose games?

Not sure why you think you "Got me" when its pretty common knowledge that the talent Golden inherited was short term and not long term. Wasn't like what Butch left Coker for example in case you need it spelled out.
Just so you know when people speak about "inheriting talent" they're speaking more about the longer 2-3 year term. Kind of like what Tressell left for the coaches that followed him at OSU.

Again, if Golden is this great recruiter you and other seem to think this wouldn't be a reason for you to shed tears. So basically you're saying Golden is an inept recruiter and even worse coach. You act as if the previous regime was suppose to leave this great recruiter an all star team. He left an entire offense basically. The defensive guys left early most likely due to garbage coaching. That all falls on Golden. It's up to him to replace those guys. Sounds like you're saying he didn't. That's failure on his part and yours again. You contradicted yourself. Your excuses are running into each other.

The disconnect here is you not understanding a simple concept called "Time".
I've stated that Golden is a solid recruiter as evidence by talents he's been able to bring in under the abnormal circumstances. But it's pretty unreasonable to think Golden would have addressed all the talent and depth gap his 1st 2 years.
Heck it took Jimbo a few years to get his talented classes to finally have a break out year.
so not sure why you keep on saying I think Golden is an inept recruiter when I've stated the opposite. I just know things take time.
